Fenerbahce (fish)
''Fenerbahce'' is a genus of fish in the family Nothobranchiidae endemic to Africa where they are only known from the Congo Basin. The current genus name was adopted to replace the genus ''Adamas'' Huber, 1979 which was a junior homonym of the genus '' Adamas'' Malaise, 1945 of the sawfly family Tenthredinidae. Etymology The genus has been named in honor of Fenerbahçe SK, a major Turkish multi-sport club based in Istanbul, Turkey. The name literally means "lighthouse garden" in Turkish (from ''fener'', meaning "lighthouse", and ''bahçe'', meaning "garden"), deriving from an ancient lighthouse located at Fenerbahçe Cape. Tenthredinidae
Tenthredinidae is the largest family of sawflies, with well over 7,500 species worldwide, divided into 430 genera. Larvae are herbivores and typically feed on the foliage of trees and shrubs, with occasional exceptions that are leaf miners, stem borers, or gall makers. The larvae of externally feeding species resemble small caterpillars. As with all hymenopterans, common sawflies undergo complete metamorphosis. The family has no easily seen diagnostic features, though the combination of five to nine antennal flagellomeres plus a clear separation of the first abdominal tergum from the metapleuron can reliably separate them. These sawflies are often black or brown, and 3 to 20 mm long. Like other sawflies, they lack the slender "wasp-waist", or petiole, between the thorax and abdomen, characteristic of many hymenopterans. The mesosoma and the metasoma are instead broadly joined. Professor Jouke de Vries (born 26 September 1960 in Dearsum) is chairman of the Executive Board of the University of Groningen (RUG) in The Netherlands. Before that he was Dean of the University of Groningen/Campus Fryslân in Leeuwarden. De Vries grew up in the village of Balk in Friesland and in 1979 started his studies in political science at the University of Amsterdam. He has been working at the group Leaderships Art at the University of Leiden since 1984. De Vries obtained his PhD in 1989 from H. Daudt and H. Fenerbahçe Lighthouse
__NOTOC__ The Fenerbahçe Lighthouse ( tr, Fenerbahçe Feneri), a historical lighthouse still in use, is located on the northern coast of Sea of Marmara at Fenerbahçe neighborhood of Kadıköy district in Istanbul, Turkey. History Historical documents mention that the location of the cape caused often maritime damage. In 1562, Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent (reigned 1520–1566) issued a decree, in which he ordered the establishment of a light on the rocks at Kalamış Cape, as the location was called that time. Built in 1857, the lighthouse stands on a point at Cape Fenerbahçe close to the eastern side of the Bosporus entrance.
