YMCA
YMCA, sometimes regionally called the Y, is a worldwide youth organization based in Geneva, Switzerland, with more than 64 million beneficiaries in 120 countries. Patsy Chapman (bodybuilder)
Patsy Chapman (born 3 May 1948) is a former British newspaper editor. Chapman grew up in Romford and worked on the magazine ''Boyfriend'' before becoming a reporter with the ''Romford Times''. She then joined '' The Sun'' and was gradually promoted to become Deputy Editor. In 1988, she swapped jobs with Wendy Henry to become Editor of the ''News of the World''. In 1990, Chapman chaired the group which drew up the code of conduct that the Press Complaints Commission subsequently enforced. She was then a member of the first Commission. Warminster Township (also referred to as Warminster) is located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, United States. It was formally established in 1711. The township is 13.7 miles north of Philadelphia and had a population of 32,682 according to the 2010 U.S. census. Stacey Bentley
Stacey Bentley (born 1956) was a registered nurse and former professional female bodybuilding, female bodybuilder of the late 1970s and early 1980s. Along with Claudia Wilbourn and Rachel McLish, Bentley was among the first role models of bodybuilding for women and the benefits that it can bring to them. She died on December 31, 2019. Biography Bentley was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where at a young age she was a very active, sports-oriented child. In her high school days she was a diver and later continued her education at Franconia College in New Hampshire. It was around 1975 that Bentley discovered weight training (which was an unusual interest for women at that time) and decided to train with the goal of achieving a healthy fit physique. Claudia Wilbourn
Claudia Wilbourn (born circa 1951) is a former professional female bodybuilder from the United States. One of the leading figures in the early days of women's bodybuilding, Wilbourn began heavy training in 1971. She competed in the first Women’s World Bodybuilding Championships in June 1979, finishing second to Lisa Lyon. In 1980 she won the title of Ms. California, then finished second by one point to Laura Combes at the NPC Nationals. She made one Ms. Olympia appearance, finishing 17th in the 1982 contest. Wilbourn was inducted into the IFBB Hall of Fame in 2006. Lisa Lyon
Lisa Lyon (born 1953) is a female bodybuilder and photo model from the United States, and is regarded as one of female bodybuilding's pioneers. Biography Born in Los Angeles, California in 1953. Lisa Lyon studied art at the University of California at Los Angeles. There she became accomplished in the Japanese art of fencing, kendo, but found herself lacking sufficient upper body strength so she began weight training. This eventually led her into bodybuilding. Lyon entered and won the first International Federation of BodyBuilders Women's World Pro Bodybuilding Championship in Los Angeles on June 16, 1979. This was the only bodybuilding competition of her career. She appeared in many magazines and on television talk shows, promoting bodybuilding for women. Cammie Lusko (born April 5, 1958) is an American athlete best known for her contributions to female bodybuilding in the 1980s. Born in Los Angeles, California, Lusko entered her first bodybuilding contest in 1979, finishing third in the Robby Robinson Classic (Roark, 2005) in her hometown. The following year, she placed 9th in the inaugural Ms. Olympia competition. Shifting her focus to Olympic style lifting, in 1983 she became the first woman to lift more than her body weight overhead with one arm (131 lbs.). She placed second that year in the 60 kg class of the Women's National Olympic weightlifting competition (60.0 kg snatch and 82.5 kg clean and jerk for a total of 142.5 kg).
