Felix Weber (artist)
Felix Weber (born August 17, 1965), also known as Schlockmaster, is a German artist. Biography Weber was born in Munich, Germany. Since the early 1980s Weber has been focused on painting, drawing, Comic books, and music. 1991 Weber founded the label "Subversion Durch Schlock (SDS)" and began to exhibit his art. At the end of the nineties SDS was changed to Schlockweltall, and Weber began to build his presence on the internet. Sex and violence are basic elements for his cutting edge art. Weber branched into German hip hop at the end of the 1990s. The band Schlockmaster released two 12" singles in 1997/98 and an LP in 2002. Some of the tracks were "Echte Künstler", "Rap Wigga", and "Lass Einen Wigga Scheinen". His work is sampled quite a lot in German hip-hop. In his painting he replaced his signature heavy-black outlined comic-bookish style of the 90s with tightly rendered über-realistic figure shading. Monopol (magazine)
Monopol (Monopoly) is a 1996 Swedish comedy film directed by Claes Eriksson and the fifth to feature the members of Galenskaparna och After Shave. Plot Egil ( Knut Agnred), a middle-aged man living a simple life, is a regular painter. One day, when he is about to paint a fence, the film team of Långa näsan (Long Nose), one of Sweden's most popular television programs, including the host Hacke Häger ( Per Fritzell), suddenly shows up. Egil becomes the victim of a candid-camera prank, which will be aired on television. To Häger's surprise, Egil does not want to sign the broadcast permit required to broadcast the footage, nor come to the studio. Comic Book
A comic book, also called comicbook, comic magazine or (in the United Kingdom and Ireland) simply comic, is a publication that consists of comics art in the form of sequential juxtaposed panels that represent individual scenes. Panels are often accompanied by descriptive prose and written narrative, usually, dialogue contained in word balloons emblematic of the comics art form. "Comic Cuts" was a British comic published from 1890 to 1953. It was preceded by "Ally Sloper's Half Holiday" (1884) which is notable for its use of sequential cartoons to unfold narrative. German Hip Hop
German hip hop (locally known as ''Deutschrap'', ''Deutsch'' meaning German) refers to hip hop music produced in Germany. Elements of American hip hop culture, such as graffiti art and breakdancing, diffused into Western Europe in the early 1980s. History 1980–1990 Early underground artists included Cora E. and Advanced Chemistry. It was not until the early 1990s that German hip hop entered the mainstream as groups like Die Fantastischen Vier and the Rödelheim Hartreim Projekt gained popularity. Jack Kirby
Jack Kirby (born Jacob Kurtzberg; August 28, 1917 – February 6, 1994) was an American comic book artist, writer and editor, widely regarded as one of the medium's major innovators and one of its most prolific and influential creators. He grew up in New York City and learned to draw cartoon figures by tracing characters from comic strips and editorial cartoons. He entered the nascent comics industry in the 1930s, drawing various comics features under different pen names, including Jack Curtiss, before ultimately settling on Jack Kirby. Martin Heidegger (; ; 26 September 188926 May 1976) was a German philosopher who is best known for contributions to phenomenology, hermeneutics, and existentialism. Thomas Zipp (born 1966, Heppenheim, Germany) is an artist based in Berlin. Education Zipp studied at the Städelschule, Frankfurt (with Thomas Bayrle) and the Slade School London from 1992–1998.
