The 1936 Summer Olympics (German: ''Olympische Sommerspiele 1936''), officially known as the Games of the XI Olympiad (German: ''Spiele der XI. Olympiade'') and commonly known as Berlin 1936 or the Nazi Olympics, were an international multi-sport event held from 1 to 16 August 1936 in Berlin, Germany. Theodore Ernst Kara (April 2, 1916 – February 14, 1944) was an American featherweight boxer who competed in the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin. Boxing career He competed in the Men's Featherweight Boxing at the 1936 Olympics and was eliminated in the quarter-finals, after losing to the upcoming silver medalist Charles Catterall.
