Federales De Chiriquí
The Federales de Chiriquí are a professional baseball team in the Panamanian Professional Baseball League, or Probeis. Founded in 2019, the team is based in Panama's western Chiriquí Province. History Federales are the latest professional team to represent Chiriquí Province. Chiriquí-Bocas played in the Panamanian Professional Baseball League for a single season, winning the 1963 Interamerican Series in the only year of its existence. Additionally, they shared the city with Astronautas for a single season (2019–20) before that team moved to Los Santos. Federales de Chiriquí represented Panama at the 2021 Caribbean Series, as runners-up of the 2019–20 Probeis season. In 2023, the team won a national championship for the first time, and thus represented Panama at the Caribbean Series for the second time in its history; at the 2023 Caribbean Series, the team went 3–4 and did not make to the knockout stage. Panamanian Professional Baseball League
The Panamanian Professional Baseball League ( es, Béisbol Profesional de Panamá, links=no), currently known as Probeis, is a professional baseball winter league consisting of three teams based in Panama. Since 2019, the league's winner takes part in the Caribbean Series. History Founded in 1946, the PPBL joined Organized Baseball in 1948 and operated continuously until 1972. A new Panamanian baseball league started the 2001–02 season as Probeis (''Liga Profesional de Béisbol de Panamá''), but it lasted that season only. Estadio Kenny Serracín is a multi-use stadium in David, Panama, David, Panama. It is currently used for baseball matches and is the home stadium of the Federales de Chiriquí baseball team. 2021 Caribbean Series
The 2021 Caribbean Series (Serie del Caribe) was the 63rd edition of the international competition featuring the champions of the Colombian Professional Baseball League, Dominican Professional Baseball League, Mexican Pacific League, Panamanian Professional Baseball League, Puerto Rican Professional Baseball League, and Venezuelan Professional Baseball League. COVID-19 Pandemic In Panama
The COVID-19 pandemic in Panama is part of the worldwide pandemic of the coronavirus disease () caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (). 2023 Caribbean Series
The 2023 Caribbean Series was the 65th edition of the Caribbean Series, played at La Rinconada Baseball Stadium in Caracas and Jorge Luis García Carneiro Stadium in La Guaira, Venezuela from February 2 to February 10, 2023.
