Federal Ministry Of Food And Agriculture
The Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (german: Bundesministerium für Ernährung und Landwirtschaft, ), abbreviated BMEL, is a cabinet-level ministry of the Federal Republic of Germany. Its primary headquarters are located in Bonn with a secondary office in Berlin. From 1949 to 2001 it was known as the Ministry for Food, Agriculture and Forests (german: Bundesministerium für Ernährung, Landwirtschaft und Forsten). Through an organizational order by the German Chancellor on 22 January 2001, it became the Federal Ministry for Consumer Protection, Food and Agriculture after the Consumer protection function was transferred from the Federal Ministry for Health (''Bundesministerium für Gesundheit''). The name Federal Ministry for Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection was adopted on 22 November 2005 simply to alphabetize its functional parts in the German language. Uwe Feiler
Uwe Feiler (born 2 November 1965) is a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) who has been serving as a member of the Bundestag from the state of Brandenburg since 2013. From 2019 to 2021 he was a Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture in the government of Chancellor Angela Merkel. Political career Feiler first became a member of the Bundestag after the 2009 German federal election, representing the Oberhavel – Havelland II district. From 2014 until 2017, he served on the Finance Committee and the Committee on European Affairs. In 2019, he became Parliamentary State Secretary for Food and Agriculture, under minister Julia Klöckner. In addition to his committee assignments, Feiler is part of the German-Polish Parliamentary Friendship Group. For the 2021 elections, Feiler was elected to lead the CDU campaign in Brandenburg.

Agency For Renewable Resources
The Agency for Renewable Resources (german: Fachagentur Nachwachsende Rohstoffe e.V. or FNR), was founded in 1993 as a government initiative intended to support research and development in the area of renewable resources. As a project managing organisation, the FNR answers to the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (abbreviated BMEL in German). In May 2015, the BMEL announced the new ‘Renewable Resources’ funding programme. The Agency for Renewable Resources (FNR) has been entrusted with managing the programme. The Friedrich Loeffler Institute (FLI), is the Federal Institute for Animal Health of Germany, that country's leading animal disease center. The institute was founded in 1910 and named for its founder Friedrich Loeffler in 1952. The FLI is situated on the Isle of Riems, which belongs to the City of Greifswald.
