Fear Of Falling
The fear of falling (FOF), also referred to as basophobia (or basiphobia), is a natural fear and is typical of most humans and mammals, in varying degrees of extremity. It differs from acrophobia (the fear of heights), although the two fears are closely related. The fear of falling encompasses the anxieties accompanying the sensation and the possibly dangerous effects of falling, as opposed to the heights themselves. Those who have little fear of falling may be said to have a head for heights. Basophobia is sometimes associated with astasia-abasia, the fear of walking/standing erect. In humans Infants Studies done by psychologists Eleanor J. Gibson and Richard D. Walk have further explained the nature of this fear. One of their more famous studies is the "visual cliff. Paul Johnson is a British gospel and soul singer who released two albums and a series of singles from 1987 through 1990 on CBS Records. He was formerly a member of Paradise before going solo, and later recorded with Mica Paris. Paul Johnson had been recruited to Paradise when the London Gospel funk group was on a tour of the North of England. At the time Johnson was singing as a member of a Seventh-day Adventist choir, and noted for his high falsetto "in a style not dissimilar to Earth, Wind & Fire's Philip Bailey". Shona Laing
Shona Laing (born 9 October 1955) is a New Zealand musician. She has had several hits in her native country, as well as a few minor international hits, most notably "(Glad I'm) Not a Kennedy" and "Soviet Snow". Laing contributed to Manfred Mann's Earth Band album ''Somewhere in Afrika'' and contributed music to, and appeared in, the 1985 action film ''Shaker Run''.
