People From Medford, Oregon
A person ( : people) is a being that has certain capacities or attributes such as reason, morality, consciousness or self-consciousness, and being a part of a culturally established form of social relations such as kinship, ownership of property, or legal responsibility. The defining features of personhood and, consequently, what makes a person count as a person, differ widely among cultures and contexts. In addition to the question of personhood, of what makes a being count as a person to begin with, there are further questions about personal identity and self: both about what makes any particular person that particular person instead of another, and about what makes a person at one time the same person as they were or will be at another time despite any intervening changes. The plural form "people" is often used to refer to an entire nation or ethnic group (as in "a people"), and this was the original meaning of the word; it subsequently acquired its use as a plural form of per ...

Dota Players
''Dota'' is a series of strategy video games by Valve. The series began in 2003 with the release of ''Defense of the Ancients'' (''DotA''), a fan-developed multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) mod for the video game '' Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos'' and its expansion, '' The Frozen Throne''. The original mod features gameplay centered around two teams of up to five players who assume control of individual characters called "heroes", which must coordinate to destroy the enemy's central base structure called an "Ancient", to win the game. Ownership and development of ''DotA'' were passed on multiple times since its initial release until Valve hired the mod's lead designer IceFrog and after an ongoing legal dispute with Blizzard Entertainment, the developer of ''Warcraft III'', brokered a deal that allowed for Valve to inherit the trademark to the ''Dota'' name. The first standalone installment in the series, ''Dota 2'', was released by Valve in July 2013. A sequel to ''DotA'', ...

Dota Pro Circuit
The Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) is the official tournament format system of '' Dota 2'', a competitive five-on-five video game. The DPC is organized by the game's developer, Valve, and consists of seasonal "Major" tournaments and Regional Leagues from North America, South America, Southeast Asia, China, Eastern Europe, and Western Europe. Points are earned by the top six teams playing in the upper division of a Regional League as well as finishing in the top eight of a Major. The top 12 teams with the most points at the season's conclusion earn invites to The International, the premier tournament for ''Dota 2''. The DPC was introduced in 2017 as a replacement for the Dota Major Championship series (2015–2016), which was criticized due to Valve's non-transparent process for sending out International invites. History From late 2015 until early 2017, Valve sponsored a series of smaller-scale, seasonally held tournaments known as the Dota Major Championships. Their format was based on ...
