Gabriel Faure (writer)
Gabriel Faure (15 May 1877 – 5 August 1962) was a French poet, novelist and essayist. He was the author of many books about Italy, and the editor of a book prefaced by Benito Mussolini. He won five prizes from the Académie française. Early life Gabriel Faure was born on 15 May 1877 in Tournon-sur-Rhône, in the department of Ardèche, France. Career Faure was the author of many poems, novels and essays. An Italophile, he wrote many books about Italy, including Venice, Ventimiglia and Rome. In 1929, he edited a book about Italy entitled ''Le Visage de l'Italie'' prefaced by Benito Mussolini. The book received a good review in ''The Journal of Roman Studies''. Additionally, Faure was the founder of the Comité France-Italie. Moreover, Faure wrote several books about French authors François-René de Chateaubriand, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Stendhal, Paul Valéry and Louis Le Cardonnel. Félix Faure
Félix François Faure (; 30 January 1841 – 16 February 1899) was the President of France from 1895 until his death in 1899. A native of Paris, he worked as a tanner in his younger years. Faure became a member of the Chamber of Deputies for Seine-Inférieure in 1881. He rose to prominence in national politics up until unexpectedly assuming the presidency, during which time France's relations with Russia improved. Writer Émile Zola's famous ''J'Accuse…!'' open letter was written to Faure in ''L'Aurore'' in 1898 in the course of the Dreyfus affair. Fernand Faure (16 March 1853 – 6 November 1929) was a French economist and politician. He held office as a deputy from 1885 to 1889, then despite repeated attempts at reelection was out of office until becoming a Senator in 1924. Keith George Faure (born June, 1951), from Norlane, Victoria, is an Australian career criminal, convicted of multiple murders and manslaughters. He is currently serving life imprisonment with a minimum non-parole period of 19 years for his role in two murders related to the Melbourne gangland killings. Jean-Baptiste Faure () (15 January 1830 – 9 November 1914) was a French operatic baritone and art collector who also composed several classical songs. Singing career Faure was born in Moulins. A choirboy in his youth, he entered the Paris Conservatory in 1851 and made his operatic debut the following year at the Opéra-Comique, as Pygmalion in Victor Massé's ''Galathée''.
