Farry Island
Long Lake is a lake in eastern Ontario, Canada in the municipality of Tay Valley in Lanark County. The lake is nearly 3 km long and about 600m wide at its widest. Long Lake is fed by a number of small tributaries leading to intermittent lakes. It is drained by an unnamed creek leading to Adams Lake. Long Lake has five islands, the largest and only named one, being Farry Island. It is located in the east end of the lake and is uninhabited. It is about 400m long and 200m wide. It is a fairly steep island, rising about 20m above the level of the lake, its highest point being over 150m above sea level. The lake has a number of cottages lining the northern and southeastern shores. The nearest community is Stanleyville, 5 km west of the lake. Frank Farry (born December 31, 1972) is an American politician. A Republican, he is a member of the Pennsylvania State Senate representing the 6th district since 2023. He previously served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives representing the 142nd legislative district from 2009-2022. Career Before his election to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, Farry served as assistant township manager for Middletown Township for eight years. He is also a practicing attorney with the firm of Jackson, Cook, Caracappa, and Bloom in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. He is the chief at Langhorne-Middletown Fire Co. Jim Farry
James Farry (1 July 1954 – 10 November 2010) served as chief executive of the Scottish Football Association from 1990 to 1999. Farry was forced to leave that post due to a dispute with Celtic over the registration of player Jorge Cadete. Early life Farry attended school in East Kilbride, before working as a landscape gardener, milkman and window cleaner. He first joined the Scottish Football Association (SFA) in 1972 as an administration assistant. In the late 1970s he was appointed secretary of the Scottish Football League, a position he held for over 10 years. Farry earned a reputation as an efficient administrator during his stint as league secretary. Marc-Antoine Farry (born 3 July 1959) is a French professional golfer. Farry was born in Paris, and started playing golf at the age of seven. He turned professional in 1979, and spent his early career as a teaching professional in Florida, United States. Farry was a full member of the European Tour from 1989 to 2004. He has won 16 tournaments on the French domestic tour, including the 1985 and 2000 French PGA Championships, but has only one win to his name on the European Tour, the 1996 BMW International Open, which was reduced to 36 holes because of rain. Stephen Anthony Farry MP (born 22 April 1971) is an Alliance Party of Northern Ireland politician.
