Farook College
Farook College is a government-aided, autonomous, arts and science college located in Feroke near Calicut, Kerala, India. It is the largest residential post-graduate aided institution in Kerala affiliated to the University of Calicut; it was granted autonomous college status in 2015. Established in 1948, Farook College has been identified by the University Grants Commission of India as a College with Potential for Excellence (CPE), the first college under Calicut Universities to receive the status. It was accredited by NAAC at 5-star level in 2002 and re-accredited at A+ in 2016. It is the winner of Moulana Azad National Literacy Award, R. Sanker Award (two times) for the best first-grade college in the state and the winner of a campus award of University of Calicut among Arts and Science colleges. Sithara (singer)
Sithara Krishnakumar (born 1 July 1986) is an Indian playback singer, composerlyricist classical dancer and an occasional actor. She predominantly works in Malayalam cinema in addition to Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films. Sithara is a well known singer who is trained in Hindustani and Carnatic classical music traditions and is also a recognised ghazal singer. Thalappil Pradeep
Thalappil Pradeep is an institute professor and professor of chemistry in the Department of Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He is also the Deepak Parekh Chair Professor. In 2020 he received the Padma Shri award for his distinguished work in the field of Science and Technology. Shafi Parambil
Shafi Parambil (born 12 February 1983) is an Indian politician and a member of the 14th Kerala Legislative Assembly. He is a member of the Indian National Congress and represents Palakkad constituency. Political career Parambil started his political life as a member of the Kerala Students Union. While in college, he was the unit office bearer of KSU and the general secretary of the college union. Parambil became the State General Secretary in 2007 and State President in 2009.
