Farmington High School is a public high school located in Farmington, Michigan. The school was established in 1888, and the first sections of the current building were built in 1953, with several renovations and additions occurring since then. As of the 2014-2015 school year, the school educates a student body of 1,140. The current Principal is Chris Meussner. History Farmington High School traces its roots back over 125 years. While no date has been fully confirmed, 1888 has been accepted as the year the school was first established. The school is listed as being first accredited in 1920 by the University of Michigan. First known as the Union School, the class sizes have grown steadily over the years, from the single digits during the 19th century, to over one thousand students in recent years. Cameron Matthew Fowler (born December 5, 1991) is a Canadian-born American professional ice hockey defenceman and an alternate captain for the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League (NHL). Warren Jay Cawley (July 6, 1940 – January 21, 2022) was an American athlete, winner of 400 m hurdles at the 1964 Summer Olympics. Cawley was born in Highland Park, Michigan. He attended Farmington High School. Cawley still holds the record time for the 100 yard dash at Farmington High School that he set in 1959. He was ''Track and Field News'' "High School Athlete of the Year" in 1959. North Farmington High School is a public high school located in Farmington Hills, Michigan. The school was established in 1961 and, as of the 2019–2020 school year, educates a student body of over 1300. The principal is Joseph Greene. History In 1959, many homes in the Farmington Hills area were being built by families with older children, creating demand for a new junior and senior high school.
