Farka Lake
The Farka Lake ( sq, Liqeni i Farkës) is an artificial lake and municipal park in the southeast of Tirana, Albania. It is about 9.6 km away from the city centre of Tirana, and is administered by the Agency of Parks and Recreation of the Municipality of Tirana. Geography The lake is about 75 hectare, larger than the Artificial Lake of Tirana. It has a maximum length of two kilometers as well as a maximum width of 700 meters. Tirana ( , ; aln, Tirona) is the capital and largest city of Albania. It is located in the centre of the country, enclosed by mountains and hills with Dajti rising to the east and a slight valley to the northwest overlooking the Adriatic Sea in the distance. Grand Park Of Tirana
The Grand Park of Tirana ( sq, Parku i Madh i Tiranës), or the Park on the Artificial Lake, is a 289 hectare public park situated on the southern part of Tirana, Albania, and administered by the Agency of Parks and Recreation of the Municipality of Tirana. The Park includes an artificial lake and many other landmarks such as the Saint Procopius Church, the Presidential Palace, and memorials to several Albanian personalities.
