Farhad Veliyev
Farhad Valiyev ( az, Fərhad Vəliyev; born 1 November 1980) is a retired Azerbaijani football goalkeeper. Career Club On 3 June 2016, after 10-years with Qarabağ FK, Valiyev signed a one-year contract with Sumgayit FK. Valiyev retired in the summer 2019. International Valiyev has made 32 appearances for the Azerbaijan national football team. Azerbaijan (, ; az, Azərbaycan ), officially the Republic of Azerbaijan, , also sometimes officially called the Azerbaijan Republic is a transcontinental country located at the boundary of Eastern Europe and Western Asia. 2013–14 Azerbaijan Premier League
The 2013–14 Azerbaijan Premier League is the 22nd season of Azerbaijan Premier League, the Azerbaijani professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1992. Neftchi Baku are the defending champions, having won the previous season. Teams Kəpəz and Turan were relegated from the 2012–13 Azerbaijan Premier League. The format of the league will change as a total of 10 teams will contest the league, with the last two clubs relegated and no teams promoted from the first division. The competition format follows the usual double round-robin format. During the course of a season, which lasts from August to May, each club plays every other club four times, twice at home and twice away, for a total of 36 games. The 2012–13 Azerbaijan Premier League was the twenty first season of the Premier League since its establishment in 1992. The season began on 4 August 2012 and finished on 20 May 2013. Neftchi Baku are the defending champions, having won the previous season. No club from 2012–13 Azerbaijan First Division was directly promoted. Teams A total of 12 teams will contest the league, including 12 sides from the 2011–12 season, which means two teams will not be promoted from the 2011–12 Azerbaijan First Division. On 10 April 2012, FK Qaradağ sealed promotion to league after winning first division. The 2011–12 Azerbaijan Premier League (known as the Unibank Premyer Liqası for sponsorship reasons) was the twentieth season of the Premier League since its establishment in 1992. Neftchi Baku was the defending champions, having won their second Azerbaijani championship the previous season. A total of twelve teams participated in the league, the ten sides remaining of the 2010–11 season, one promoted club from the 2010–11 Azerbaijan First Division and a totally new club instead of defunct First Division champions FC Absheron. The fixtures were announced on 29 July 2010; the season began on 7 August 2010 and ended on 28 May 2011. Neftchi Baku were the eventual champions, winning their first Azerbaijani championship since 2005. The league was competed over two stages. The first stage consisted of a regular home-and-away round-robin schedule for a total of 22 matches per team. The competition was then split in half, with the teams ranked first through sixth playing out the championship and the European spots while the bottom six teams having to avoid one of the two relegation places. The 2009–10 Azerbaijan Premier League was the eighteenth season of top-tier football in Azerbaijan. It began on 14 August 2009 and finished in May 2010. FK Baku were the defending champions. The league was competed in two stages. The first stage consisted of a regular home-and-away round-robin schedule for a total of 22 matches per team. The competition then split into two halves. However, each team took over to the respective group only records earned against the remaining 5 teams in their second round group. The teams ranked first through sixth played out the championship and the European spots while the bottom six teams had to avoid one of the two relegation places. Teams MOIK Baku and Bakili Baku were relegated after finishing the 2008–09 season in the bottom two places. Inter Baku were the defending champions, having won the previous season. Teams FK Gänclärbirliyi Sumqayit and ABN Bärdä were relegated after finishing the previous season in 13th and 14th place, respectively. On 8 July 2008, FK Masallı withdrew their participation from the league, citing competitional and financial problems as reasons.
