''The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead'' or more recently ''The Forum'' is an American, English language newspaper. It is the major newspaper for Fargo, North Dakota and the surrounding region, including Moorhead, Minnesota. It is the flagship and namesake of Forum Communications. ''The Forum'', as it is commonly known, is the primary paper for southeast North Dakota, and also much of northwest Minnesota. Its average daily circulation was about 47,100 on Sundays and 37,500 on Saturdays prior to reducing its print schedule to semi-weekly. ''The Fargo Forum'' was first published on November 17, 1891 by Major A. W. Edwards. However, it traces its lineage to ''The Republican'', which had been founded by Edwards in 1878 and merged into ''the Forum'' in 1894. It has been owned by the family of Norman B. Black since 1917. With multiple online and print news brands throughout Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin, Forum Communications offers local news in a variety of digital and broadcast mediums in addition to various niche media brands covering specialty interests. KOYY
KOYY (93.7 FM, "Y94") is a radio station broadcasting a Top 40 (CHR) format serving the Fargo-Moorhead metropolitan area. It first began broadcasting in 1965. The station is currently owned by Midwest Communications. All the offices and studios are located at 1020 S. 25th Street in Fargo, while its transmitter is located near Amenia. History The station signed on in 1965 as WDAY-FM with a beautiful music format. On January 1, 1983, the station changed to a Top 40 format, and broadcast commercial-free for the first several months. It was owned by Forum Communications, along with WDAY and WDAY-TV. For a period in the early 1990s, the station adopted a soft adult contemporary format and was renamed "Mix 93.7". WDAZ-TV (channel 8) is a television station licensed to Devils Lake, North Dakota, United States, serving the Grand Forks area as an affiliate of ABC. It is owned by the Forum Communications Company, which also owns the ''Grand Forks Herald''. WDAZ-TV's news bureau and advertising sales office are located on South Washington Street in Grand Forks, and its transmitter is located near Dahlen, North Dakota. WDAY (AM)
WDAY (970 kHz "News-Talk 970 AM and 93.1 FM") is North Dakota's oldest radio station, having first signed on in 1922. WDAY is licensed to Fargo, North Dakota, owned by Forum Communications, and operated by Flag Family Media. The transmitter site is near 210th Street South in Barnesville, Minnesota, and studios are on 8th Street South in Fargo. WDAY's power is 10,000 watts, and its transmitter site has three towers.
