"Fallen" is a song by the British DJ Paul Masterson, also known as Yomanda, and the British rock singer Toyah Willcox, released independently in 2011. Background The track started life as an instrumental piece by Masterson, who sent it to Toyah and asked if she would record a vocal for it. In an interview on Gaydar Radio, he said that they "hadn't actually met until the day of recording the vocals. We spoke on email and we recorded the vocals down at Dave Pemberton's studio in Essex. Paul Kevin Masterson is a Northern Irish DJ and record producer, originally from Belfast and now living in London. He is best known for recording as Yomanda. He is also part of the dance music duo Hi-Gate, along with BBC Radio 1 DJ Judge Jules. Biography Recording as Amen! UK, he had a hi-NRG hit with "Passion", released by Deconstruction Records in 1995. Toyah Ann Willcox (born 18 May 1958) is an English musician, actress, and TV presenter. In a career spanning more than 40 years, Willcox has had eight top 40 singles, released over 20 albums, written two books, appeared in over 40 stage plays and 10 feature films, and voiced and presented numerous television shows. Between 1977 and 1983, she fronted the band Toyah, before embarking on a solo career in the mid-1980s. At the 1982 BPI/Brit Awards, Toyah was nominated for British Breakthrough Act, and Best Female Solo Artist. Toyah was nominated a further two times in this category in 1983, and in 1984. Background The song was originally written by Toyah and her collaborator Simon Darlow for the 2008 album '' In the Court of the Crimson Queen'', but did not make the final tracklist.
