Falkenried
Falkenried was a former tram and metro carriage developer and manufacturer (1882–1965) as well as a bus developer (until 1980) based in Hamburg, Germany. In 1918 it became part of ''Hamburger Hochbahn plc'', since June 1968 it is a subsidiary of it. The name Falkenried originates of the street in Eppendorf where the factory was situated (until 1999). Today it is a bus maintenance subsidiary of the ''Hochbahn'' located at a bus garage in Hummelsbüttel. In 1897, the company made a delivery of fifteen horsecars to Kristiania Sporveisselskab of Oslo, Norway. They were long and remained in service until 1939, although they were used as trailers most of their life. Kristiania Sporveisselskab
A/S Kristiania Sporveisselskab or KSS, nicknamed the Green Tramway ( no, Grønntrikken), was an operator of part of the Oslo Tramway from 1875 to 1924. The company was established in 1874 and started with horsecar operations on the Ullevål Hageby Line, Gamlebyen Line and the Grünerløkka–Torshov Line. The network was electrified with in 1899 and 1900, whereby the company was bought by Union-Elektricitäts-Gesellschaft. It delivered new Class U trams. Within a few years the company had also opened the Vålerenga Line and Kampen Line. It took over Kristiania Kommunale Sporveie in 1905, taking over its fleet of Class S trams and the Sagene Ring, the Vippetangen Line and the Rodeløkka Line. The company was based at Homansbyen Depot. Kristiania Elektriske Sporvei
A/S Kristiania Elektriske Sporvei or KES, nicknamed the Blue Tramway ( no, Blåtrikken), was a company which operated part of the Oslo Tramway between 1894 and 1924. It built a network of four lines in Western Oslo, the Briskeby Line and the Frogner Line which ran to Majorstuen, and two other consecutive lines, the Skøyen Line and the Lilleaker Line. These all connected to a common line through the city center which terminated at Jernbanetorget. KES was established as the second tram operator in Oslo (then known as Kristiania). When it commenced services it was the first electric tramway in Scandinavia. It originally opened the Briskeby Line and the Skøyen Line to Skillebekk using a fleet of Class A trams. Hamburger Hochbahn AG (HHA), founded in 1911, operates the underground system and large parts of the bus system in Hamburg, Germany. History The HHA was founded by Siemens & Halske and AEG as a consortium on 27 May 1911. The first chairman was Albert Ballin. From 1919 until 1978, the HHA operated a large tram network, and from 5 December 1921 the HHA also operated the first motor buses in Hamburg. After the acquisition of the ''Straßen-Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft'' (SEG) in 1919 and the ''Hamburg-Altonaer-Centralbahngesellschaft AG'' in 1923, the HHA had a rolling stock of 865 power cars and 930 trailers by 1928. Nils Carl Aspenberg (born 26 August 1958) is a Norwegian journalist, historian, author and businessperson. He has written numerous books on rail transport, and is chief executive officer of Baneforlaget. Aspenberg has a ''siviløkonom'' degree from BI Norwegian Business School.
