Fairweather (band)
Fairweather is an American rock band from Virginia, United States. They have released three full-length albums on Equal Vision Records: ''If They Move...Kill Them'' (2001), ''Lusitania'' (2003) and '' Fairweather'' (2014). The band also released several demos and the Alaska EP. In March 2011, after an 8-year hiatus, Fairweather formally announced a reunion show. The reunion show took place May 14, 2011 at the Black Cat in Washington, DC. The band continued with further shows since the reunion and subsequently recorded and released their third album in April 2014. Biography Fairweather began playing shows in the Washington, D.C., and various suburbs of Fairfax, Virginia. Saves the Day is an American Rock music, rock band from Princeton, New Jersey, formed in 1997. The band currently consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Chris Conley, guitarist Arun Bali, and bassist Rodrigo Palma. After forming under the name Sefler in 1994, Saves the Day released their debut studio album, ''Can't Slow Down (Saves the Day album), Can't Slow Down'', in 1998. It was followed by ''Through Being Cool'' (1999), which featured their first single, "Shoulder to the Wheel". ''Stay What You Are'' was released in 2001, peaking at No. 100 on the Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200. It spawned two successful music videos on MTV2, for the singles "At Your Funeral" and "Freakish", and has since sold 300,000 copies. Good Clean Fun is a hardcore punk band from Washington, D.C. who took their band name from the Descendents song of the same name. History Formed in 1997, the band used self-irony when spreading their message of veganism, straight edge, feminism and optimism. Their main influence is New York straight edge group Gorilla Biscuits. Other influences include 7 Seconds, Minor Threat, and Youth of Today. The band recorded three records before pretending to part ways in 2002, saying "their mission had been accomplished and they had reached their goals." At the same time, also as predicted in their song "I Can't Wait", they released a compilation album from their entire career, Positively Positive 1997-2002, on Equal Vision.
