Jack Fahy
Jack Bradley Fahy (1908–1947) was an American government official. He allegedly spied for the Soviet Naval GRU during World War II. Soviet naval intelligence was much smaller than the Soviet army's GRU, and only a fraction of the size of the KGB. Fahy was born in Washington D.C. in 1908 and grew up in New York City. His father was a senior partner at Walter J. Fahy and Co, a stock exchange firm. Fahy worked for Senator George H. Moses in the late 1920s. After the Stock Market Crash of 1929, Fahy became a Socialist. Fahy studied at New York University, the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva, San Marcus University in Peru, Black Mountain College in North Carolina, and Montana State University where he took courses in animal husbandry. Shea Fahy
Shea Fahy (born 6 October 1962) is an Irish Gaelic football coach and former player. At club level he played with Sarsfields and Nemo Rangers and was a member of the Kildare and Cork senior football teams. Fahy usually lined out at midfield. Army career Fahy was an officer in the Irish Army. He was based in Collins Barracks, Cork and result leading him to join the Cork team. Playing career Fahy first played Gaelic football at club level with the Sarsfields club in Newbridge. Sir Peter Martin Fahy (born 18 January 1959 in London, England) is a retired senior British police officer. He was the Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police (GMP), the United Kingdom's third largest police force. He retired from the police force on 23 October 2015 after serving for 34 years. Early life and education Fahy holds a degree in French and Spanish from the University of Hull, and a master's degree from the University of East Anglia. Patricia Fahy is an American politician and a member of the Democratic Party, who currently represents parts of Albany County in the New York State Assembly, including most of western Albany. She was previously president of the Albany City Board of Education. Michael Fahy
Michael Fahy (1951 – 2 April 2019) was an Irish farmer, and a Fianna Fáil and sometime Independent member of Galway County Council. From Ardrahan and first elected to the council in 1979, he resigned from Fianna Fáil in 2004 when under investigation for misappropriation of funds from the council. He served a prison sentence for this in 2007, but his conviction was overturned in 2011. He rejoined Fianna Fáil in 2018. Early career Fahy owned a 70-acre farm and prior to his trial worked as a salesman for New Ireland Assurance. He was appointed a Peace Commissioner in 1978, and was on the visiting committee of Limerick Prison until 2004. He ran in Galway West as an independent in the 1987 general election, but later rejoined Fianna Fáil. John Fahy (footballer)
John Joseph Fahy (13 May 1943 – 6 November 2023) was a Scottish footballer. A forward, he played professionally for Oxford United between 1964 and 1966, making a total of 23 Football League appearances and scoring 14 goals. He and his team became the first Fourth Division club to reach the quarter-final of the FA Cup, being knocked out at this stage by Preston North End. In 1967, he played in the Southern Football League with Margate. The following season he played in South Africa's National Football League with Germiston Callies F.C. for four seasons. Fahy also played for Toronto Metros in the NASL. In 1973, he played in Canada's National Soccer League with Toronto Hungaria where he finished as the league's top goalscorer. James Fahy (21 November 1946 – 14 January 2022) was an Irish journalist broadcaster, journalist and documentary-maker. He was the Western Editor for RTÉ News and was RTÉ's longest-serving regional correspondent at the time of his retirement in 2011. Early life Fahy was born in Kilrickle, County Galway, in 1946.
