Fahad Al Shammari
Fuhaid Sattam Al-Shammari ( ar, فهيد سطام الشمري; born 23 July 1982) is a Qatari footballer who is a winger. He is the brother of Saad Al-Shammari, the former captain of the Qatar national team. Club career Shammari started his football career at the age of 12 when he joined the junior team of Al Gharafa under the guidance of Hassan Afif (the father of Ali Afif), who was then the youth coach of Al Gharafa. He advanced rapidly through the ranks of Al Gharafa, until he reached the first team in 1999 at the age of 16, the youngest footballer in the Qatar Stars League at that time. Shammari helped Al Gharafa win the league three consecutive times from 2008 to 2010. Al-Gharafa Sports Club
Al-Gharafa Sports Club ( ar, نادي الغرافة الرياضي) is a Qatari multisports club based in the Al Gharrafa district of Al Rayyan. It is best known for its football team, although it also has teams for other sports. It was established on 6 June 1979 as Al-Ittihad and later officially incorporated into the Qatar Football Association on 23 September of that same year. The club was officially renamed to its current form in 2004 to better represent the district of Al-Gharafa, of which the club belongs to. Qatar National Football Team
The Qatar national football team ( ar, منتخب قطر لكرة القدم) represents Qatar in international football, and is controlled by the Qatar Football Association and AFC. The team has appeared in ten Asian Cup tournaments and won it once in 2019, beating Japan, Saudi Arabia, and South Korea in the process, conceding just one goal. They play their home games at Khalifa International Stadium and Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium. The latter is considered the home stadium for the team. Saad Sattam Saud Al Shammari ( ar, سعد سطام سعود الشمري; born 6 August 1980, in Rafha) is a Saudi Arabian-born Qatari footballer who plays as a central defender for El Jaish in the Qatar Stars League, He also plays for the Qatari national team. Ali Hassan Afif Yahya ( ar, علي حسن عفيف يحيى; born 20 January 1988) is a Qatari footballer. He currently plays as a left-back for Al-Duhail. Personal Afif has six siblings. His father, Hassan Afif, is of Somali descent and was born in Moshi, Tanzania. His father previously played for Simba in Tanzania and Horseed in Somalia before relocating to Qatar and playing for Al Ittihad. He was later naturalized. After retiring, he managed Al Gharafa from 1986 till 1987 and Al Markhiya from 2001 till 2003 and 2006 till 2007. His mother, Fayza, comes from Yemen. The Qatar Stars League ( ar, دوري نجوم قطر), or the QSL, also called QNB Stars League for sponsorship reasons, is the top level football league in Qatar football league system. Contested by 12 teams, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Qatari Second Division (QSD). Seasons of the QSL usually run from September to April. The league's first season was played in 1963, although the first official season occurred in 1972.
