Facifica Falayfay
''Facifica Falayfay'' is a 1969 Filipino movie starring Dolphy, adapted from Mars Ravelo’s series of superhero comics. A sequel, ''Mga Anak ni Facifica Falayfay'', was released in 1987. Plot A young boy, Facifica (Dolphy) is raised as a girl by his mother, Aling Kobay ( Dely Atay-atayan), who had been longing for a daughter. When Facifica’s mother dies, his brothers tries to teach him combat skills and how to act like a "real man." Later, he meets Pilar ( Pilar Pilapil), a movie star that Facifica idolizes. He falls in love with her and feels the need to protect her. Rodolfo Vera Quizon Sr. (; July 25, 1928 – July 10, 2012), better known by his stage names Dolphy, Pidol, and Golay, was a Filipino comedian and actor. He is widely regarded as the country's "King of Comedy" for his comedic talent embodied by his long roster of works on stage, radio, television and movies. Early life and education Quizon was born at Calle Padre Herrera (now P. Herrera St.) in Tondo, Manila, on July 25, 1928. His parents were married on July 14, 1925, in Malate, Manila. Marcial "Mars" Ravelo (October 9, 1916 – September 12, 1988) was a Filipino comic book cartoonist and graphic novelist who created ''Darna, Dyesebel, Captain Barbell, Lastikman'', ''Bondying'', '' Varga'', ''Wanted: Perfect Mother'', ''Hiwaga'', ''Maruja'', ''Mariposa'', ''Roberta'', ''Rita'', ''Buhay Pilipino,'' ''Jack and Jill'', ''Flash Bomba'', ''Tiny Tony'', and '' Dragonna'' among others. ''Mga Anak ni Facifica Falayfay'' is a 1987 Filipino film that is a sequel to the 1969 movie '' Facifica Falayfay'' starring Dolphy. It was written by Tony Mortel and Roy Vera Cruz and directed by Romy Villaflor. The movies tell the story of a lovable gay character created by Mars Ravelo in his series of comic book stories. The sequel picks up Facifica Falayfay's story after he falls in love with Ligaya at the end of the first movie. Adelaida Fernando-Villegas (born Adelaida Marquez Fernando; March 17, 1914 – August 30, 2004), better known as Dely Atay-Atayan or Adelaida Fernando, was a Filipina comedian and singer. Her career in entertainment spanned seven decades, beginning in bodabil and ending in television. Biography Atay-Atayan was born in Tondo, Manila. Alfonso Discher Tagle Sr., better known as Panchito Alba or simply Panchito (February 5, 1925 – December 18, 1995), was a Filipino film actor who almost exclusively appeared in comedy roles.
