Freestylers Albums
The Freestylers are a British electronic music group, consisting of producers Matt Cantor and Aston Harvey. They have released five studio albums and a number of mix compilations for, among others, Fabric and BBC Radio. The group took their name from their first sample "Don't Stop the Rock" by Freestyle, which they also sampled on Drop the Boom. Career Formation–Raw as Fuck album (1996–2004) The Freestylers formed in 1996 when DJs and dance music producers Matt Cantor, Aston Harvey joined forces. Both of them had been involved in the British dance music scene since the early 1990s. Cantor had recorded both as Cut & Paste and Strike with Andy Gardner (Plump DJs). Aston Harvey recorded as Blapps! Posse best known for their 1990 breakbeat dance hit "Don't Hold Back" before working with Definition of Sound, Rebel MC and DJ Rap (as DJ Rap and Aston). ''Raw as Fuck'' is an album by the British electronic music group Freestylers. Released in July 2004, it was the group's third album. It is also the first full-length album release from the Against the Grain label. The remix album was released almost a year later. The album included breakbeat dance music, with tracks including the singles "Get a Life", "Push Up The push-up (sometimes called a press-up in British English) is a common calisthenics exercise beginning from the prone position. Mixed by a variety of emerging and established DJs, the two series were entitled ''fabric'' and ''FABRICLIVE'' respectively. The compilation mixes were released independently by fabric on an alternating monthly basis. In May 2018, fabric announced that the ''fabric'' series would end "in its current form" with its 100th instalment; in October 2018, fabric revealed the final ''fabric'' compilation would be a triple-disc set, mixed by two of the club's residents— Craig Richards and Terry Francis—as well as its founder, Keith Reilly. In August 2018, the club announced that the ''FABRICLIVE'' series would also end with its 100th instalment, and would be mixed by Kode 9—founder of the celebrated underground electronic music label, Hyperdub—and Burial—a pioneering UK dubstep producer. Teebone
Teebone is an English UK garage/ drum and bass producer and DJ, best known for the 2000 hit " Fly Bi" which features the MCs Kie and Sparks. In the 1990s, Teebone together with DJ Dextrous produced under a number of aliases including Fusion Forum and Regulators, releasing jungle and drum and bass records. In 1994, Teebone founded his label Riddim Track Records. In the late 1990s, he started producing UK garage; his biggest and most well-known track, " Fly Bi", reached No. 43 on the UK Singles Chart and No. 1 on the UK Dance Singles Chart. Timo Maas (born July 27, 1969, Bückeburg, West Germany) is a German DJ/ producer and remixer whose career in electronic music spans well over 30 years. His remix of Azzido Da Bass's single " Dooms Night" helped launch his career in 2000. In its wake, he also released ''Music for the Maases Volume 1'', a mix album consisting of many of his previous tracks and remixes. After another mix album called ''Connected'' for Paul Oakenfold's imprint Perfecto, Maas released his own debut studio album ''Loud'' in 2002. The album was produced by German dance music producer Martin Buttrich (also known for his work with Loco Dice), and featured guest appearances from Kelis, Neneh Cherry and Placebo's Brian Molko. Dooms Night
"Dooms Night" is the debut single by German DJ and producer Azzido Da Bass, first released in 1999 in Germany. In the UK, the song missed the top 40 until a remix of the song by Timo Maas was released on 9 October 2000; it was this version which gave the song mainstream chart success, reaching number eight on the UK Singles Chart. The Timo Maas remix contains a sample from "How Do You Plead?" by French duo Soofle. Later, a re-work of the Timo Maas version by English duo Stanton Warriors was also released as a single in 2000, entitled "Dooms Night (Revisited)". Their remix featured updated UK garage-esque beats and vocals by UK ragga MC Slarta John. Azzido Da Bass
Azzido Da Bass (born Ingo Martens, 29 August 1971) is a German DJ and record producer based in Hamburg, Germany. Early life Over the years, Martens was influenced by a wide range of music genres: as a youth, he first became interested in hip hop and break dance; by the mid-1980s, he began collecting electronic and synthpop albums from groups such as Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk and Nitzer Ebb; a few years later, it was acid house and hardcore groups. In the early 1990s, Carl Cox gave Martens a cassette tape of various remixes, which had a substantial impact of Martens' view on music, paving the way for his future career.
