Fabio Staibano
Fabio Staibano (born 20 April 1983) is an Italian rugby union footballer. He plays as a prop. Staibano was born in Eboli. He played at a youth level at Battipaglia Rugby, moving to Overmach Rugby Parma F.C., aged 18, where he would stay from 2001/02 to 2007/08. Staibano represented the French team of Castres Olympique for the 2008/09 and 2009/10 seasons. Fabio joined Aironi for the 2010/2011 season. Staibano has 11 caps for Italy, having yet to score his first points. The Italian prop's first cap came at 11 June 2006, in a 52-6 win over Japan, in Tokyo. He played two games during the 2007 Six Nations Championship. He had been called as Carlo Del Fava replacement for the 2007 Rugby World Cup finals, but he was ruled out too, due an injury. Eboli
Eboli ( Ebolitano: ) is a town and ''comune'' of Campania, southern Italy, in the province of Salerno. An agricultural centre, Eboli is known mainly for olive oil and for its dairy products, among which the famous buffalo mozzarella from the area. History Archaeological excavations have shown that the Eboli area has been inhabited since the Copper and Bronze Ages. Also attested (starting from the 5th century BC) was the presence of the so-called Villanovan civilization. The ancient ''Eburum'' was a Lucanian city, mentioned by Pliny the Elder, not far away from the Campanian border. It laid above the Via Popilia, which followed the line taken by the modern railway. The 2009 Six Nations Championship, known as the RBS 6 Nations for sponsorship reasons, was the 10th Six Nations Championship, and the 115th international championship, an annual rugby union competition contested by the six major European national teams: England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales. The tournament was held between 7 February and 21 March 2009. Ireland won the Grand Slam and Triple Crown, only their second Grand Slam, and first since 1948, and first Triple Crown since 2007. It was Ireland's second Grand Slam in total. England finished as runners-up, and also won the Calcutta Cup. The 2007 Rugby World Cup was the sixth Rugby World Cup, a quadrennial international rugby union competition inaugurated in 1987. Twenty nations competed for the Webb Ellis Cup in the tournament, which was hosted by France from 7 September to 20 October. France won the hosting rights in 2003, beating a bid from England. The competition consisted of 48 matches over 44 days; 42 matches were played in ten cities throughout France, as well as four in Cardiff, Wales, and two in Edinburgh, Scotland. The eight quarter-finalists from 2003 were granted automatic qualification, while 12 other nations gained entry through the regional qualifying competitions that began in 2004 – of them, Portugal was the only World Cup debutant. Carlo Del Fava
Carlo Antonio Del Fava (born 1 July 1981) is a South African-born Italian former rugby union player. His preferred position was Lock. After hanging his boots up he then decided to take up coaching. Del Fava was born in Mthatha, South Africa to Italian parents. Rugby career Del Fava made his Italy debut in the 2004 Six Nations Championship. Previously he played for the South African under-21 team. While playing rugby in South Africa, Del Fava served a two-year ban after testing positive for the banned substance stanozolol. He was called up to the Italy squad for the 2008 Six Nations Championship. On 10 February 2014, it was announced Del Fava had been forced to retire due to a long-standing neck injury. 2007 Six Nations Championship
The 2007 Six Nations Championship was the eighth series of the rugby union Six Nations Championship. Including the previous incarnations as the Home Nations and Five Nations, this was the 113th series of the international championship. Fifteen matches were played over five weekends from 3 February to 17 March. In this year, France again won on points difference above Ireland, after four teams had at least a mathematical chance of topping the table going into the final week. Italy had their first away win of the tournament, beating Scotland in Edinburgh.
