FYF Fest
FYF Fest (short for "Fuck Yeah Fest Fest") was an annual three-day music festival held at the Los Angeles Exposition Park in Los Angeles, California. It was founded by Sean Carlson in 2004 and is now solely produced by Goldenvoice, a subsidiary of AEG Live. The event showcased many genres of music, including rock, pop, indie, electronic and hip hop as well as art installations and sculptures. The festival also had its own night market where people could buy food while watching the concerts. Throughout the whole park, four stages hosted live music. There was the Main Stage, the Lawn, the Arena, and the newest installment of the Woods. Although FYF's popularity is not as big as Coachella or EDC, the festival showcases popular and established music artists. Sean Carlson
Sean Carlson (born June 13, 1985), is an American music promoter from Torrance, California. He is the founder of FYF_Fest and the "F Yeah Fest" music tour. The first Fuck Yeah Fest was held in 2004 at the Echo, a club in Echo Park, Los Angeles, California. As of 2009, the festival officially changed its name to "FYF Fest" after moving the festival from the Echoplex The Echoplex is a tape delay effect, first made in 1959. Harley Edward Streten (born 5 November 1991), known professionally as Flume, is an Australian DJ and music producer. He is regarded as a pioneer of future bass who helped popularise the genre. James Lee Lindsey Jr. (May 1, 1980 – January 13, 2010), known professionally as Jay Reatard, was an American musician from Memphis, Tennessee. He was signed to Matador Records. He released recordings as a solo artist and as a member of the Reatards and Lost Sounds. Biography Early life Lindsey was born in Lilbourn, Missouri, in 1980. He and his family moved to Memphis when he was 8 years old, since his father struggled to find employment in his hometown. Deerhunter is an American indie rock band from Atlanta, Georgia, formed in 2001. The band currently consists of Bradford Cox (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Moses Archuleta (drums, electronics, sound treatments), Lotus Plaza, Lockett Pundt (guitar, vocals, keyboards), Josh McKay (musician), Josh McKay (bass) and Javier Morales (keyboards, synthesizers, alto saxophone). Times New Viking is an American lo-fi indie rock band from Columbus, Ohio. The lineup consists of guitarist Jared Phillips, drummer Adam Elliott, and Beth Murphy on keyboards. Count Orlok (german: Graf Orlok), commonly but erroneously known as Nosferatu, is the main antagonist and title character portrayed by German actor Max Schreck (1879–1936) in the silent film ''Nosferatu, eine Symphonie des Grauens'' (1922).
