FK Baník Most 1909
FK Baník Most 1909 was a Czech football club based in the city of Most, approximately 75 kilometres north-west of Prague. The club played top-flight football for the first time in their history in the 2005–06 Czech First League. The club's home stadium is Fotbalový stadion Josefa Masopusta, which was built in 1961. The opening match of the new stadium was played on 24 May 1961 against English side Liverpool F.C., which won against Most 4–1. In 2011, Baník Most signed an agreement whereby Arsenal Česká Lípa would function as their farm team. Czech First League
The Czech First League, known as the Fortuna liga for sponsorship reasons, is a Czech professional league for football clubs. At the top of the Czech football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. Seasons typically run from August to May, most games are played on Saturdays and Sundays with few games played on Fridays. All Fortuna liga clubs qualify for the Czech Cup. The history of the Czech football league began with its reorganization for the 1993–94 season following the dissolution of Czechoslovakia and therefore the league became the successor of the Czechoslovak League. Thirty-five clubs have competed in the Fortuna liga since its founding. Sparta Prague has won the title 12 times, the most among Czech clubs. Martin Pulpit (born 29 January 1967) is a Czech football manager and former player. He was announced as the new manager of Viktoria Žižkov in June 2010, replacing Vlastimil Petržela. 2001–02 Czech Cup
The 2001–02 Czech Cup was the ninth season of the annual football knock-out tournament of the Czech Republic. Winners Slavia Prague qualified for the 2002–03 UEFA Cup. Teams Preliminary round 38 teams were originally scheduled to take part in the preliminary round; however, the match between Rousínov and Dosta Bystrc was not played and both teams advanced to round 1 along with the winners of the other 18 matches. The Czech Cup ( cs, Pohár FAČR), officially known as the MOL Cup for sponsorship reasons, is the major men's football cup competition in the Czech Republic. It is organised by the Czech Football Association. The Czech Cup was first held in 1961. The winner would then face the winner of the Slovak Cup in the Czechoslovak Cup final. This competition was discontinued in 1993, after the dissolution of Czechoslovakia into two independent states (Czech Republic and Slovakia). Robert Žák
Robert Žák (born 6 May 1966) is a Czech football manager and former player. As a player, he played in the Czechoslovak First League until its conclusion in 1993, after which he continued in the Gambrinus liga for one season before finishing his professional playing career in 1994. He has managed three clubs in the Gambrinus liga, firstly České Budějovice followed by Most and most recently Bohemians Prague. Playing career As a player, Žák played as a midfielder. He played a total of 111 matches and scored 18 goals in the Czechoslovak First League, representing Slavia Prague, Hradec Králové and České Budějovice before the league's discontinuation in 1993. FK Viktoria Žižkov
FK Viktoria Žižkov is one of the oldest football clubs in the Czech Republic, from Žižkov (since 1922 part of Prague). It plays in the Bohemian Football League, the third tier of football in the country. The club won the Czechoslovak First League title in the 1927–28 season.
