FIVB World Grand Prix 1995
The 1995 FIVB World Grand Prix was the third women's volleyball tournament of its kind, played by eight countries from 18 August to 17 September 1995. The final round was staged in Shanghai. Tara Cross-Battle
Tara Cross-Battle (born September 16, 1968 in Houston, Texas) is a retired volleyball player from the United States, who won the bronze medal with the USA National Women's Team at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. She played NCAA women's volleyball for California State University, Long Beach, where she helped lead her team to the 1989 NCAA Championship title. In 1990, she won the Honda-Broderick Award (now the Honda Sports Award) as the nation's best female collegiate volleyball player. Cross-Battle competed in four Summer Olympics overall, starting in 1992, after having made her debut in 1990.Her height is 190 cm(6ft 3in) Current life Cross-Battle is currently working at Houston Juniors Volleyball Club. Yevgeniya Artamonova
Yevgeniya Viktorovna Estes (russian: Евге́ния Ви́кторовна Э́стес, born 17 July 1975 in Sverdlovsk), née Artamonova (Артамонова), is a Russian volleyball player who was a member of the national team and one of only two volleyball players (along with Sergey Tetyukhin) that competed consecutively in six Olympic Games and took the silver medals at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, and the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. She also won the Most Beautiful Women Volleyball Player Award, which was held on the occasion of FIVB World Grand Champions Cup 1993 and sponsored by Japanese Monthly Volleyball Magazine. Elaina Oden
Elaina Oden (born March 21, 1967, in Orange, California) is a former volleyball player from the United States who won the bronze medal with the United States women's national volleyball team at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. She also competed in the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta. Oden was a member of the U.S. junior national team in 1985. During her tenure with the national team, she competed at the 1986 Goodwill Games and the 1990 FIVB World Championship, earning a bronze medal in each event. She also won a silver medal at the 1995 Pan American Games. High school Oden attended Irvine High School in Irvine, California, and was a standout in volleyball, basketball, soccer, softball, and track & field, where she was the state champion in the shot put her senior year. Lori Endicott
Lori Ann Endicott (born August 1, 1967, in Kansas City, Missouri) is a retired female volleyball player from the United States. She played for the University of Nebraska and then for the United States national team, winning a bronze medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. High school Endicott attended Willard High School in Willard, Missouri. She helped the volleyball team win the 1981 Missouri state championship, and was an all-conference selection in 1982, 1983, and 1984. Endicott also played basketball and was named to the basketball all-state team in 1984 and 1985. College Endicott then played volleyball for the University of Nebraska. She helped the team win four Big Eight Conference titles from 1985 to 1988. In 1986, Nebraska finished second at the NCAA championships. Magaly Carvajal
Magalys Carvajal Rivera (born December 18, 1968) is a Cuban Volleyball Player, World champion and Olympic champion. She led Cuba to Olympic Gold Medals in the 1992 Barcelona and 1996 Atlanta Games. She also helped Cuba to win the World Gold Medal in 1994. She has been called the greatest middle blocker to ever play the sport of women's volleyball, standing at 6' 3" tall. Known for shutting down the greatest hitters in the world. Her vertical jump (11 feet) is rivaled only by teammate Mireya Luis. Her stare is known to intimidate any player at the net, and has been called by many of her peers "the look of death".
