Oberstdorf ( Low Alemannic: ''Oberschdorf'') is a municipality and skiing and hiking town in Germany, located in the Allgäu region of the Bavarian Alps. It is the southernmost settlement in Germany and one of its highest towns. At the center of Oberstdorf is a church whose tall spire serves as a landmark for navigating around town. Irina Andreyevna Avvakumova (russian: Ирина Андреевна Аввакумова (Тактаева); born 14 September 1991) is a Russian ski jumper. She is a multiple-time Russian national ski jumping champion, and the Continental Cup winner in 2012/13 season. At the 2013 Winter Universiade in Predazzo, Avvakumova won a gold medal in the team competition and bronze in the individual competition. She represented Russia at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, finishing in the 16th position.
