FC Yambol
FC Yambol 1915 ( bg, ФК Ямбол 1915) is a Bulgarian football club based in Yambol, currently playing in the Third Amateur Football League (Bulgaria), the third division of Bulgarian football. Its home stadium "Tundzha" has a capacity of 18,000 seats. Club colors are blue and white. Founded in 1915, Tundzha is one of the oldest Bulgarian football clubs. The team had early successes in the State Championship, finishing in third place twice during the 1930s. After the football league system was reformed after World War II, Tundzha was not selected to play in the newly formed A Group in 1950, instead starting from the second tier B Group. Tundzha did promote to the A Group in 1970, remaining three seasons in the top level, before dropping to the B Group and gradually falling down into the amateur levels over the next decades. The 2017–18 Third Amateur Football League season is the 68th season of the Bulgarian Third Amateur Football League. The group is equivalent to the third level of the Bulgarian football pyramid with four divisions existing in it. The divisions themselves are geographically separated into ''North-West'', ''North-East'', ''South-East'', and ''South-West'', covering the football clubs of their respective zones. Vladko Shalamanov
Vladko Shalamanov ( bg, Владко Шаламанов; born 25 April 1967) is a former Bulgarian footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Shalamanov played for a number of teams in the top Bulgarian league, most notably for Levski Sofia and Slavia Sofia. He used to captain the latter and in December 2013 was one of the footballers honoured with a special prize at a ceremony commemorating 100 years since the founding of the "whites". Shalamanov also plied his trade abroad, having short spells in Greece and Turkey. He additionally spent four years in Portugal before retiring from the game. He made his debut for Bulgaria on 12 April 1995, in the 0:0 away draw with Macedonia in a friendly match. Georgi Mechedzhiev (Bulgarian: Георги Мечеджиев; born 27 April 1978 in Yambol) is a Bulgarian football coach and former player who is the current head coach of Svoboda Peshtera. As a player, Mechedzhiev mainly played as a right-back. Angel Chervenkov ( bg, Ангел Димитров Червенков, born 10 June 1964) is a Bulgarian former footballer and football manager. Career As a player As a footballer, Chervenkov played as a defender for Tundzha Yambol (1980–1981), Armeets Sofia (1981–1984), CSKA Sofia (1984–1987), Lokomotiv Gorna Oryahovitsa (1987–1989), Etar Veliko Tarnovo (1989–1994) and Montana (1994–1996). In Bulgaria's top division, the A PFG, Chervenkov had 298 matches and 40 goals. He won the championship twice, in 1987 with CSKA and in 1991 with Etar, once finished second (with CSKA in 1985) and once third (with Etar in 1990).
