FC Mulhouse Portland
International Portland Select Football Club is a semi-professional soccer club based in Portland, Oregon playing in the National Premier Soccer League. History In late 2013, the NPSL announced Spartans Futbol Club as an expansion team ahead of the 2014 season in the then-newly created Northwest Conference. The rest of the conference was made up of Gorge FC, Inter United FC, and Seattle Sporting FC. The team won the inaugural Northwest Conference title by going undefeated through 12 regular season games (10-2-0). The Spartans fell in their first playoff game against Sonoma County Sol, 3–1. Ahead of the 2017 season Portland announced a new partnership with French side FC Mulhouse. The partnership included an officially re-branded of the team as FC Mulhouse Portland and allowed both sides to share "curriculum, methodology and marketing strategies." National Premier Soccer League
The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) is an American men's association football, soccer league. The NPSL is a semi-professional league, comprising some teams that have paid players and some that are entirely amateur. The league is officially affiliated to the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA) and has automatic qualification for the U.S. Open Cup. It is the successor of the Men's Premier Soccer League, a regional league originally based in the Western United States, which has now expanded nationwide to encompass teams from 29 states. The league's motto is "A National League with a Regional Focus". Competition format The National Premier Soccer League is divided into four separate regions (Northeast, South, Midwest, and West). 2020 NPSL Season
The 2020 National Premier Soccer League season was part of the 108th season of FIFA-sanctioned soccer in the United States and the 18th season of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL). Miami FC, the defending league champions, left in the off-season and joined the National Independent Soccer Association and later the USL Championship. On March 26, the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Changes from 2019 Multiple changes were made to the league's conferences ahead of the season. The Northeast Region was renamed to the "East Region." FC Motown
FC Motown is an American soccer club based in Morristown, New Jersey. Founded in 2012, the team currently plays in both the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) and USL League Two. In 2020, the team joined the newly formed Northeast Elite Soccer League (NESL) and formed a U23 team that competed in the EDP 23U league. The team plays its home games at Drew University's Ranger Stadium and Montclair State University's MSU Soccer Park. The 2018 National Premier Soccer League season was part of the 106th season of FIFA-sanctioned soccer in the United States and the 16th season of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL). Elm City Express was the defending champion. The 2018 NPSL champion qualifies to play for the 2019 Hank Steinbrecher Cup organized by the United States Adult Soccer Association. The NPSL has elected to use results of the 2018 league season to determine which NPSL clubs qualify for the 2019 U.S. Open Cup. The United States Soccer Federation has not yet determined how many berths for the U.S. Open Cup will be awarded to NPSL clubs. Kitsap SC
Kitsap SC Pumas was an American soccer team based in Bremerton, Washington, United States. The team played in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), the fourth tier of the American soccer pyramid. From its foundation in 2009 to 2016, the club played in the Premier Development League (PDL), as a professional club. As part of the agreement upon leaving PDL after the 2016 season, the club was unable to use the "Kitsap Pumas" name during the 2017 season while playing in NPSL. The club was officially renamed Kitsap SC until September 1, 2017 when the Pumas name was restored. The club announced on July 20, 2018 that it would cease operations due to declining attendance. Kitsap won several titles including the 2011 USL PDL national championship. They defeated the Laredo Heat 1–0 in the 2011 PDL Championship game on August 6, 2011 held on their home field in Bremerton.
