FC Metalurh Kupyansk
FC Metalurh Kupiansk is an amateur club from Kupiansk competing at the regional competitions of Kharkiv Oblast. The club was founded in 1971 by the Kupiansk Foundry. The club is one of the most dedicated clubs that competed at national (republican) amateur competitions (Ukrainian football championship among amateurs) being one of the three that spent there over 20 seasons and yielding only to FC Shakhtar Sverdlovsk. Kupiansk
Kupiansk ( uk, Куп'янськ, ) is a city in Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine. It serves as the administrative center of Kupiansk Raion. It is also an important railroad junction for the oblast. Kupiansk hosts the administrative offices of Kupiansk Urban Hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Until 18 July 2020, Kupiansk was incorporated as a city of oblast significance and the center of Kupiansk Municipality. The municipality was abolished in July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions in the Kharkiv Oblast to seven. The area of Kupiansk municipality was merged into the Kupiansk Raion. Overview Kupiansk is located on the bank of the Oskil River. Kharkiv Oblast ( uk, Харківська́ о́бласть, translit=Kharkivska oblast), also referred to as Kharkivshchyna ( uk, Ха́рківщина), is an oblast (province) of eastern Ukraine. Ukrainian Amateur Football Championship ( uk, Чемпіонат України з футболу серед аматорів) is an annual association football competition in Ukraine among amateur teams. The competition is administered by the Ukrainian Association of Amateur Football (AAFU). The championship replaced the Soviet competitions among collectives of physical culture (KFK). Competition organization Current format Majority participating teams that compete in the Ukrainian Amateur football competition also compete in their regional (oblast) football championships. There are no requirements or restrictions on amount of representation from each region and is on voluntary (and/or invitational) basis. There is no relegation. FC Shakhtar Sverdlovsk
Shakhtar Sverdlovsk ( ua, Шахтар Свердловськ) was a professional Ukrainian football club based in Luhansk oblast's Sverdlovsk city (Dovzhansk). The club competed in the Ukrainian Second League but was suspended after the 2013–14 amid the Russian aggression against Ukraine. The club holds a record in number of seasons (23) in which the club was fielding its team/teams in national (republican) amateur competitions (Ukrainian Amateur Football Championship). History Shakhtar Sverdlovsk was founded in 1939. The club represents State Mining Company "Sverdlovantratsyt" (Sverdlov Anthracite). After Ukrainian independence, the club competed in the Luhansk Oblast football competition. They performed well and decided to enter the professional ranks in 1995.
