FC Kufstein
Fußballclub Kufstein is an association football club based in the town of Kufstein, Tyrol, Austria, that competes in Regionalliga Tirol, one of the third tiers of the Austrian football league system. Founded in 1987, it is affiliated to the Tirol Football Association. The team plays its home matches at Kufstein Arena, where it has been based since its foundation. History The club was formed in 1919, around twenty years after football was popularised in Austria. The club was known as SV Kufstein up until World War II, and from 1946 to 1987 as SC Kufstein. The current name was adopted in 1987 following a merger with local amateur club ESV Kufstein. Since 1987, the club has played in the Austrian Regional League West and the Austrian Football First League. The Regionalliga Tirol is a third-tier division of Austrian football introduced in the 2019–20 season as one of the successor of the ''Austrian Regionalliga West''. It covers the Austrian state of Tyrol and is one of five leagues at this level. 2019–20 reformation Due to high travel costs, the Vorarlberg and Tyrol clubs decide to leave the Austrian Regionalliga West and form their own Elite ligas, forcing Salzburg to do so as well. Football is the most popular sport in Austria. The Austrian Football Association, the ''ÖFB'' (''Österreichischer Fußball-Bund''), was founded in 1904 and has been a member of FIFA since then. Despite the sport's popularity, except for a successful streak in the early 1930s, the country's national team has not been successful in tournaments. Austria played their first ever European championship as a qualifier in 2016, but finished last in their group and failed to advance. Their only prior appearance in the European championship was in 2008 (when it co-hosted the championship with Switzerland and was thus exempt from qualification), but was promptly eliminated already at the group stage. Mohammadou Idrissou
Mohamadou Idrissou (born 8 March 1980) is a Cameroonian former professional footballer who played as a striker. Club career On the last day of the summer transfer window 2011, Idrissou moved to 2. Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt. Having contributed 14 goals to Eintracht Frankfurt's return to the Bundesliga in 2011–12, Idrissou unexpectedly signed for 2. Bundesliga team 1. FC Kaiserslautern on 27 July 2012. On 21 May 2014, he signed with Israeli side Maccabi Haifa. He was waived by the team on 13 November 2014. In the following winter-break he moved to the Republic of Macedonia where he signed with FK Shkëndija. In 2015 he moved back to Germany to KFC Uerdingen 05. After two years he moved to Union Hallein.
