FC Dynamo Brest
FC Dynamo Brest (, ''FK Dynama Brest''; ) is a Belarusian professional football club based in Brest. The club plays in the Belarusian Premier League, the top division in Belarusian football. In 2019, Dynamo won its first Belarusian Premier League title. The club has also won the Belarusian Cup in 2007, 2017 and 2018. History Origins The club was founded in 1960 as Spartak Brest and joined the Soviet Class B (second-tier league) the same year. After the 1962 season, they were relegated as a result of league reorganization. They came close to promotion twice in 1964 and 1967 but lost the final round both times. They were finally promoted on their third attempt in 1969, but the following year they again dropped to the third tier due to league reorganization. Regional Sport Complex Brestsky
Regional Sport Complex Brestsky (; ), also known simply as OSK Brestsky or ASK Brestski is a multi-use stadium in Brest, Belarus, Brest, Belarus. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and is the home ground of FC Dinamo Brest. The stadium holds 10,060 people. The complex was built in 1937 and given the name Spartak Stadium in 1939. In 1972, it was renamed to Dinamo Stadium and reassigned to Dinamo sport society along with local FC Dynamo Brest, football team. Stadium's major reconstruction and renovation started in 1996. Kobrin
Kobryn or Kobrin is a town in Brest Region, Belarus. It serves as the administrative center of Kobryn District. It is located in the southwestern corner of Belarus, where the Mukhavets river and Dnieper–Bug Canal meet. The town lies about east of the city of Brest. As of 2025, it has a population of 52,432. 2017–18 Belarusian Cup was the 27th season of the Belarusian annual cup competition. Contrary to the league season, it was conducted in a fall-spring rhythm. The tournament started in May 2017 and concluded with the final match on 19 May 2018. Dinamo Brest defeated BATE Borisov 3–2 in the final, winning the Cup and qualifying for the second qualifying round of the 2018–19 UEFA Europa League. The 2006–07 Belarusian Cup was the 16th edition of the football knock-out competition in Belarus. Contrary to the league season, the competition has been conducted in a fall-spring rhythm. The first games were played on 2 July 2006 and the final on 27 May 2007. Dinamo Brest won the Cup. First round 15 teams from the Second League (out of 17, excluding two teams which were reserve squads for Premier and First League teams), 10 teams from the First League (out of 14) and 3 amateur clubs started in this round. 1992 Belarusian Premier League
The 1992 Belarusian Premier League season was the inaugural tournament for independent Belarus after the dissolution of Soviet Union. A decision was made to switch the schedule of the league to fall-spring format, therefore the first season was played as a single round-robin tournament between 18 April and 20 June 1992. Teams and venues The first teams to participate in the Belarusian top football league were Dinamo Minsk, a sole staple Belarusian team from Soviet Top League, four teams formerly of Soviet Second League (Dinamo Brest, Dnepr, KIM and Khimik), one team formerly of Soviet Second League B (Gomselmash) and ten teams formerly of the Football Championship of the Belarusian SSR. FC Neman Grodno or FK Nyoman Hrodna (; ) is a Belarus, Belarusian professional association football, football club based in the city of Grodno. It is named after the Neman River and founded in 1964. FC Torpedo Minsk or PFK Tarpeda Minsk (; ) is a Belarusian football club, playing in Minsk. The team plays their home games at the Torpedo Stadium in Minsk, which holds 4,800 people. They currently play in Belarusian Second League. History During Soviet years, Torpedo was playing in the Belarusian SSR top league and won championships in 1947, 1962, 1966, 1967 and 1969. The team was playing in the Belarusian Premier League since 1992. Their most successful years were in the early 2000s, when the team finished in 4th position twice in a row (2002, 2003) and reached the final of the Belarusian Cup (2000). FC Belshina Bobruisk (, ''FK Belshyna Babruisk'') is a Belarusian football club based in Bobruisk. The team has won one Belarusian Premier League title, as well as 3 Belarusian Cup titles. FC Slavia Mozyr or FK Slaviya Mazyr (, ) is a Belarusian professional football club based in Mazyr, Belarus. History The team was founded in 1987 as Polessie (Polesia). Between 1987 and 1991, they played in the Belarusian SSR league. From 1992 till 1995, they played in the Belarusian First League. They changed their name to MPKC Mazyr since the 1994–95 season. FC Shakhtyor Soligorsk (, ) was a Belarus, Belarusian association football, football club, playing in the city of Salihorsk (Soligorsk). History The club was founded in 1961. During Soviet era, Shakhtyor Soligorsk played in the top or second division of the Belarusian SSR league, occasionally dropping to lower tiers (Minsk Oblast league) for a short time. In 1971, Shakhtyor absorbed two other local Soligorsk teams (Khimik and Gornyak). Their best results came toward the end of Soviet days, when the team finished as league runners-up twice (1988, 1990) and won the Belarusian SSR Cup three times (1985, 1986, 1988).
