Football Club Aragats ( hy, Ֆորտբոլային Ակումբ Արագած), was an Armenian football club based in the town of Ashtarak, Aragatsotn Province. They play their home games at the Kasakhi Marzik Stadium in Ashtarak. History On 5 June 2019, FC Aragats was officially founded in Ashtarak by Hakob Fahradyan. Kasakhi Marzik Stadium
Kasakhi Marzik Stadium ( hy, Քասախի մարզիկ մարզադաշտ) is a football stadium in Ashtarak, Armenia. It was opened in 1971 and is the former home ground of Mika and former club Kasakh FC. The capacity of the stadium is 3,600. The administrator of the stadium is Armen Matevosyan. Ashtarak
Ashtarak (Armenian language, Armenian: ), is a town and urban municipal community in the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia, located on the left bank of Kasagh River along the gorge, northwest of the capital Yerevan. It is the administrative centre of the Aragatsotn province. Ashtarak is an important crossroad of routes for the Yerevan–Gyumri–Vanadzor triangle. The town plays a great role in the national economy as well as the cultural life of Armenia through several industrial enterprises and cultural institutions. It has developed as a satellite town of Yerevan. The nearby village of Mughni is part of the Ashtarak municipality. As of the 2011 census, the population of the town was 18,834. The 2019–20 Armenian First League season was the 28th since its establishment. The season was launched on August 6, 2019, and concluded on May 27, 2020. Sevan are the defending champions. Summary A total of 17 clubs entered the competition with only 11 clubs being eligible for promotion, while the other 6 teams are the reserve teams of clubs from the Armenian Premier League. Aragatsotn Province
Aragatsotn ( hy, Արագածոտն, ) is a province ('' marz'') of Armenia. It is located in the western part of the country. The capital and largest city of the province is the town of Ashtarak. The Statistical Committee of Armenia reported its population was 132,925 in the 2011 census. Etymology Literally meaning "the foot of Aragats" (the highest mountain of Armenia), it is named after the Aragatsotn canton of the historic Ayrarat province of Ancient Armenia, ruled by the Amatuni noble family under the reign of the Arsacid Dynasty.
