FBC Ostrava (FBC ČPP Bystroň Group Ostrava after its sponsors) is a floorball team based in Ostrava, Czech Republic. The team was founded in 1993. The men's team have played in the highest Czech floorball league, Superliga florbalu, since its foundation in 1993. The team ended on the second place nine times, in the seasons 1993–94 through 1995–96, 1998–99, 2002–03 through 2005–06, and the last time in the season 2010–11. That makes it the fifth most successful Czech men team and the third team in number of participations in finals. Floorball is a type of floor hockey with five players and a goalkeeper in each team. Men and women play indoors with sticks and a plastic ball with holes. Matches are played in three twenty-minute periods. The sport of bandy also played a role in the game's development. The game was invented in Sweden in the late 1960s. The basic rules were established in 1979 when the first floorball club in the world, Sala IBK, from Sala, was founded in Sweden. Official rules for matches were first written down in 1981. The sport is organized internationally by the International Floorball Federation (IFF). As of 2019, there were about 377,000 registered floorball players worldwide, up from around 300,000 in 2014. Radio Prague
Radio Prague International ( cs, Český rozhlas 7 – Radio Praha) is the official international broadcasting station of the Czech Republic. Broadcasting first began on August 31, 1936 near the spa town of Poděbrady. Radio Prague broadcasts in six languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Czech and Russian. It broadcasts programmes about the Czech Republic on satellite and on the Internet. In 2021, Rospotrebnadzor blocked the website of Radio Prague International in Russia due to a report about Jan Palach from 2001.
