The Football Association of Odisha League is the top state football league of the Indian state of Odisha, organised by Football Association of Odisha (FAO) in association with Department of Sports & Youth Services (DSYS), Government of Odisha. History The major domestic league in the state held at Cuttack was known as Cuttack Football League until 2010 when FAO decided to restructure the league as FAO league. It continues as the top tier competition for Cuttack based football clubs. The FAO League was brought up as ''Siddhartha Odisha First Division League'' in 2010 as Odisha's premier level football league. Football Association of Odisha introduced league system to provide footballing talents of the state a platform to showcase their abilities. League system continued with the same format for seven years, until getting its revamp in 2018. Since the inception of the FAO League, a total of five clubs have been crowned champions. Kalinga Stadium
The Kalinga Stadium is a multi-purpose International stadium in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. Its foundation stone was laid by former chief minister of Odisha Late Biju Patnaik in 1978. It is the home ground of the I League Club Indian Arrows since 2018 & the Indian Super League Club Odisha FC since its inception in 2019. The Diamond League is an annual series of elite track and field athletic competitions comprising fourteen of the best invitational athletics meetings. East Coast Railway Zone
The East Coast Railway (abbreviated ECoR) is one of the 19 railway zones of Indian Railways. It came into existence on 1 April 2003. The headquarters of the zone are at Bhubaneswar, Odisha History Consequent upon the parliament's approval, East Coast Railway was the first of the seven new zones to be inaugurated by the then Prime Minister of India H. D. Deve Gowda on 8 August 1996. The Officer-on-Special Duty took over charge of the newly declared Zone on 16 September 1996. Initially, only one division namely Khurda Road was attached to this railway. Subsequently, the zone became fully operational on 1 April 2003. 2022 FAO League
The 2022 FAO League will be the eleventh season of the FAO League, the top Odia professional football league, since its establishment in 2010. Sports Hostel are the defending champions. FAO League is annually organised by the Football Association of Odisha (FAO), the official football governing body of Odisha, in association with Department of Sports & Youth Services (DSYS), Government of Odisha. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in India, the FAO League had not been organised since its last edition in 2019. After a span of two years, the regular season kicked-off from 3 July 2022. 2019 FAO League
The 2019 FAO League was the tenth season of the FAO League, the top Odia professional football league, since its establishment in 2010. Sunrise Club were the defending champions whereas Bidanasi Club were relegated from the Diamond League last season and played in the Gold League in the 2019 edition.
