F.I.S.Co.
F.I.S.Co. (Festival Internazionale sullo Spettacolo Contemporaneo) was an international festival that showcases examples of the convergence taking place across the contemporary arts (dance, theatre, performance, visual and plastic arts). F.I.S.Co. was conceived and created by Xing (cultural organization), Xing a cultural network based in Bologna. In 2012 the experience of F.I.S.Co. Xing (cultural Organization)
Xing is a cultural organization based in Bologna, Italy, dedicated to the production and support of experimental practices within the arts. Xing was founded in 2000 by Daniele Gasparinetti, Silvia Fanti, Andrea Lissoni, Giovanna Amadasi and Federica Rossi. Their research focuses in particular on the field of live arts, performing arts and electronic arts. Activities From 2000 to 2011, Xing organized in Bologna the festivals Netmage - International Live Media Festival, dedicated to electronic art and live media, and F.I.S.Co., F.I.S.Co Festival Internazionale sullo Spettacolo Contemporaneo, dedicated to performing arts. Live Arts Week
Live Arts Week is a project by Xing, born in 2012 out the fusion of the experiences of the two Bologna festivals (2000>2011): Netmage - International Live Media Festival and F.I.S.Co. - Festival Internazionale sullo Spettacolo Contemporaneo. Live Arts Week takes place in Bologna, Italy, once a year, and it is developed throughout one week in different locations and settings in town. Mission Event dedicated to live arts, it hosts a blend of artworks and productions that revolve around the presence, performance and perceptual experience of sounds and visions, with a program of live works (performances, environments, concerts, live media, expanded cinema) presented by important personalities in the international and contemporary research scene. Darren O'Donnell (born 1965) is a Canadian novelist, essayist, performance artist, playwright, director, actor and urban planner. He is the artistic director of the Mammalian Diving Reflex theatre company, has written many plays including ''A Suicide-Site Guide to the City'', ''White Mice'', ''Who Shot Jacques Lacan?'', ''Radio Rooster Says That's Bad'', ''Over'', '' oxhead' and ', and has published one novel entitled ''Your Secrets Sleep With Me''. Jan Kopp (born May 26, 1970, in Frankfurt/Main, Germany) is a German visual artist. He has lived in France since 1991. Overview After graduating in 1996 from National School of Fine Arts of Paris / École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts/, France, he became assistant to the artists :fr:Jochen Gerz and :fr:Esther Shalev Gerz. In 1997 he co-founded the independent art-space GlassBox in Paris, one of the first artist-run-spaces in the French capital. Robin Rhode
Robin Rhode (born 1976) is a South African artist based in Berlin. He has made wall drawings, photographs and sculptures. Education Rhode was born in Cape Town, South Africa. He studied fine art at Technikon Witwatersrand in Johannesburg (now the University of Johannesburg), followed by postgraduate work in 2000 at the South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance. Roman Signer (born 1938 in Appenzell, Switzerland) is principally a visual artist who works in sculpture, art installations photography, and video. Early life and career Born in Appenzell, Switzerland, Signer started his career as an artist later in life at the age of 28, after working as an architect’s draughtsman, a radio engineer apprentice, and a short stint in a pressure cooker factory. Romeo Castellucci (born August 4, 1960) is an Italian theatre director, playwright, artist and designer. Since the 1980s he has been one part of the European theatrical avant-garde.
