Expressway S50 (Poland)
The S50 expressway is a planned expressway in Poland, in Masovian Voivodeship. It will run as a circle road north to the Warsaw metropolitan area to take over the transit traffic from the existing expressway ring around the city, mainly from the S8 and S17 expressways, as well as will be one of the road connectors to the planned Solidarity Transport Hub. It was added to the motorway and expressway index by Polish government on 24 September 2019. Expected completion of the road, along with parallel A50 motorway is set on 2027. New Central Polish Airport
The Solidarity Transport Hub or Central Communication Port ( pl, Centralny Port Komunikacyjny, ''CPK''), is a megaproject of the Government of Poland aimed at the construction of a new, built-from-scratch airport to be located approximately southwest of Warsaw, as well as a new nationwide high-speed rail and controlled-access highway network linking the CPK to much of the rest of the country. The opening of the CPK airport would not mean that Warsaw Chopin Airport would be closed; no official decision has yet been made. The English name "Solidarity Transport Hub Poland" is proposed for the project by its website. The planned launch of the port is 2028. At first the airport is to have two runways (4,000 m × 45 m), but eventually four. Płock
Płock (pronounced ) is a city in central Poland, on the Vistula river, in the Masovian Voivodeship. According to the data provided by GUS on 31 December 2021, there were 116,962 inhabitants in the city. Its full ceremonial name, according to the preamble to the City Statute, is ''Stołeczne Książęce Miasto Płock'' (the Princely or Ducal Capital City of Płock). Płońsk
Płońsk (; yi, פּלאָנסק, Plonsk) is a town in central Poland with 22,500 inhabitants (2010). Situated at the Płonka river in the historic region of Mazovia, it is the seat of Płońsk County in the Masovian Voivodeship. Radzymin
Radzymin is a town in Poland and is one of the distant suburbs of the city of Warsaw. It is located in the powiat of Wołomin of the Masovian Voivodeship. The town has 8,818 inhabitants (as of 2008, but the surrounding commune is heavily populated and has an additional 11,000 inhabitants). History Radzymin dates back to the Middle Ages. The Warsaw metropolitan area (known in Polish as: ''aglomeracja warszawska'' or ''Miejski Obszar Funkcjonalny Warszawy'') is the metropolitan area of Warsaw, the capital of Poland. The metropolitan area covers ten counties in the Masovian Voivodeship, with an area of 6,100 km² and a population of around 3.5 million in 2022. Expressway S8 (Poland)
Expressway S8 or express road S8, officially named The Route of the Heroes of the Battle of Warsaw 1920 ( pl. ''droga ekspresowa S8'', ''Trasa Bohaterów Bitwy Warszawskiej 1920 r.'') is a major road in Poland which connects Wrocław via Łódź and Warsaw to Białystok. Its fragment forming the bypass of Wrocław (22.7 km) is constructed in motorway standard and marked as A8 instead. The whole road is long. Construction of its last fragment finished in October 2019. The construction was part of the European Union's plan to fund express roads in Poland. In September 2019, it was announced that an extension of S8 from Wrocław to Kłodzko was added to the plans and will be constructed in the future. Expressway S17 (Poland)
Expressway S17 or express road S17 ( pl. ''Droga ekspresowa S17'') is a major road in Poland which, when completed, will run from Warsaw through Lublin to the border crossing with Ukraine at Hrebenne/Rava-Ruska. Its route runs parallel to national road 17 which it is going to replace. As of September 2022, out of planned have been completed: the main section running from Warsaw through Lublin to Piaski, as well as bypasses of Tomaszów Lubelski and Hrebenne. The joint section of S12 and S17, including the bypass of Lublin, was constructed in years 2011 – 2014. The section between Warsaw and Lublin was to be finished by 2015, but with subsequent reductions in government spending on infrastructure, the investement was delayed.
