EuroHockey Club Trophy
The EuroHockey Club Trophy I is an annual men's field hockey competition organised by the EHF for European hockey clubs. It is the second most prestigious European club competition, being one tier below the top men's European club competition the Euro Hockey League. In that sense, the ECT is hockey's equivalent of the UEFA Europa League. Format The tournament features 8 clubs from EHF member countries. Qualification Each year one of the 8 available league places is allocated to an EHF member country's national association. The clubs admitted are the clubs of those nations who finished ranked third to sixth in the previous year's Trophy II; the clubs of those two nations from the previous year's Trophy I; plus the clubs of those two nations promoted from the previous year's Challenge I. 1981 Men's EuroHockey Club Champions Trophy
The 1981 EuroHockey Club Champions Cup, taking place in Brussels, was the eighth edition of Europe's premier field hockey club competition. It was the first edition were two divisions were established. Otherwise, the competition format established in 1977 was preserved. It was won by HC Klein Zwitserland in a final match against SKA Sverdlovsk, which was the revelation of the competition considering Soviet hockey, represented by Dynamo Almaty, had failed to rank among the top 8 clubs in previous editions. It was the Dutch club's 2nd European Champions Cup trophy. Barcelona's Real Club de Polo attained the 3rd place by defeating defending champions Slough HC. Warta Poznań () is a multi-sports club based in Poznań, Poland. The name means ''the Guard'' in Polish and also the name of the river Warta on which Poznań is located. Founded in 1912, the association football club are two-time winners of the Polish Football Championship, in 1929 and 1947. In 2020, Warta returned to the Polish Ekstraklasa after being absent for 25 years. Grange Hockey Club
Grange Hockey Club is one of four sections of The Grange Club situated at Portgower Place in Edinburgh. The three other sports that can be enjoyed through the parent club are Cricket, Squash and Tennis. Grange Hockey Club, originally Edinburgh Northern Hockey Club, was formed in April 1905 and was one of the early hockey clubs in Scotland. The club first started playing at Raeburn Place in 1928 and changed its name to Grange Hockey Club in 1972. With 8 men's teams, 4 ladies teams, veterans and active youth section the Grange Hockey Club is one of the largest in Scotland. Banbridge Hockey Club is a hockey club based in Banbridge, County Down, Northern Ireland. The club was formed in 1897. Grounds The club's first home was at Millmount Green, off the Lurgan Road in Banbridge. In 1949, the club purchased grounds at Castlewellan Road. These continued to be used until 1998 when the need for an artificial-turf pitch meant a move to the new Banbridge District Council facilities at Havelock Park.
