Eugen Haugland
Eugen Haugland (12 July 1912 – 21 October 1990) was a Norwegian triple jumper. He represented Haugesund IL. He was a brother of Jens Edv. Haugland, father of Terje Haugland and grandfather of Hanne Haugland. At the 1936 Summer Olympics he finished fourteenth in the triple jump final with a jump of 14.56 metres. He became Norwegian champion in 1931, 1933-1937 and 1948. The triple jump, sometimes referred to as the hop, step and jump or the hop, skip and jump, is a track and field event, similar to the long jump. Terje Haugland (born 11 April 1944) is a former Norway, Norwegian long jumper. He was a nephew of Jens Edv. Haugland, son of Eugen Haugland and father of Hanne Haugland. He finished eleventh at the 1969 European Championships in Athletics, 1969 European Championships, thirteenth at the 1970 European Indoor Championships in Athletics, 1970 European Indoor Championships and thirteenth at the 1971 European Championships in Athletics, 1971 European Championships. He never competed at the Summer Olympics. He became Norwegian champion in long jump in 1969 and 1971. He represented Haugesund IL and IK Tjalve. Hanne Haugland (born 14 December 1967 in Haugesund) is a former Norwegian high jumper. She represented the clubs Haugesund IL, IL i BUL, SK Vidar and IF Minerva during her senior career. In her early international career she finished eleventh at the 1987 European Indoor Championships and the 1989 World Indoor Championships and thirteenth at the 1988 European Indoor Championships. Her first international medal came at the 1989 European Indoor Championships where she won a silver with a jump of 1.96 metres.
