Estoril Seniors Tour Championship
The Seniors Tour Championship was the season ending event on men's professional golf's European Seniors Tour. It was first contested in 2000 at Abu Dhabi Golf Club by Sheraton, Abu Dhabi. In 2001 it was played at PGA Golf de Catalunya, Spain, from 2002 to 2004 at Quinta da Marinha, Portugal, in 2005 and 2006 at Riffa Views, Bahrain, in 2007 at Buckinghamshire Golf Club, England and from 2008 to 2010 at Club de Campo del Mediterráneo, Spain. In 2010 the prize fund was €400,000 with €64,433 going to the winner. Castellón De La Plana
Castellón de la Plana (officially in ca-valencia, Castelló de la Plana), or simply Castellón ( ca-valencia, Castelló, link=no) is the capital city of the province of Castellón, in the Valencian Community, Spain. Ángel Franco
Ángel Franco (born 31 May 1958) is a Paraguayan professional golfer. His brother is golfer Carlos Franco. Franco was born in Asunción and turned pro in 1974. He won the South American Tour Order of Merit in 1991. In 2007, he was second at the Carlos Franco Invitational, and won the same tournament in 2012 in a playoff against younger brother Ramon. Currently, Franco is a member of European Seniors Tour, and the best finish on this tour was second place at the 2008 Jersey Seniors Classic, 2008 Russian Seniors Open and 2009 The De Vere Collection PGA Seniors Championship. John Chillas
John Stalker Chillas (born 31 July 1951) is a Scottish professional golfer. He won the Scottish PGA Championship twice, in 1976 and 2001. He has also won three times on the European Seniors Tour. He tied for 52nd place in the 1984 Open Championship. His best season on the Seniors Tour was 2004 when, in addition to winning the end-of-season Estoril Seniors Tour Championship, he was runner-up 5 times and third on two other occasions. From late August to late September he was runner-up in 4 successive tournaments, the Charles Church Scottish Seniors Open, the Bovis Lend Lease European Senior Masters, The Daily Telegraph Turismo Andaluz European Seniors Match Play Championship and the ADT English Seniors Open. Des Smyth
Desmond John Smyth (born 12 February 1953) is an Irish professional golfer. He won eight times on the European Tour between 1979 and 2001. He also had a successful senior career winning twice on the Champions Tour and five times on the European Senior Tour between 2005 and 2012. He played in two Ryder Cup matches, 1979 and 1981. Professional career Smyth turned professional in 1974 and was a member of the European Tour for over a quarter of a century. His best finish on the European Tour Order of Merit was seventh in 1988. He won eight tournaments on the tour across four different decades, breaking Neil Coles' record as the oldest man to win a European Tour event when he claimed the 2001 Madeira Island Open at the age of 48 years and 34 days. Adan Sowa
Adan Domingo Sowa (born 15 August 1954) is an Argentine professional golfer. Sowa was born in Buenos Aires, and turned professional in 1973. He won the Argentine Open twice, in 1978 and 1983, and led the Argentine Professional Rankings on two occasions, in 1978 and 1982. He was second in the 1985 Argentine Open and the 1982 Argentine PGA Championship. In 1982, Sowa was second in the Jujuy Open on the Argentine Professional Tour, but claimed the first prize cheque because the overall winner was amateur, Luis Carbonetti. Sowa played on the European Tour from 1978 to 1986, with a best finish of tied 6th in the Italian Open in 1986, on his way to 69th place on the Order of Merit. Nick Job
Nicholas James Job (born 27 July 1949) is an English professional golfer who plays on the European Senior Tour. He has won five times on the tour. Professional career Job turned professional in 1965 and qualified for the 1966 Open Championship as a 16-year-old. He played on the British circuit, winning two age-restricted tournaments, the Gor-Ray Under-24 Championship in 1969 and the under-23 BUA Rising Star Tournament in 1970. The European Tour was founded in the 1970s and Job finished in the top-100 on the European Tour Order of Merit twelve times, with a best ranking of 26th in 1981. His best tournament result on the European Tour came at the 1978 Greater Manchester Open, where he lost to Brian Barnes in a playoff. Costantino Rocca
Costantino Rocca (born 4 December 1956) is an Italian golfer. He was long known as the most successful male golfer that Italy has produced, until the 2018 success of Francesco Molinari, who credited Rocca as an inspiration to him following his Open victory. After a long career on the European Tour, Constantino is now playing on the European Seniors Tour. He has five European Tour wins and is best known for his second-place finish in the 1995 Open Championship, and his hole in one in 1995 Ryder Cup. Katsuyoshi Tomori
is a Japanese professional golfer. Career Tomori was born in Okinawa Prefecture. He turned professional golfer, professional in 1982. His seven tournament wins on the Japan Golf Tour include the 1994 Mitsubishi Galant Tournament and the 1995 Japan PGA Match-Play Championship Promise Cup. In 1996, Tomori became the first Japanese professional to enter the European Tour Qualifying School. He was successful and played in Europe for three seasons, making the top 80 on the European Tour#Order of Merit winners, Order of Merit each time, with a best Order of Merit placing of 47th in 1998. After the 2000 season, he returned to the Japan Golf Tour.
