Espraiado River
The Espraiado River ( pt, Rio do Espraiado) is a river in the south of the state of São Paulo Brazil. It is a tributary of the Una da Aldeia River. Course The river originates in the municipality of Pedro de Toledo, São Paulo. It flows along the length of the Despraiado Sustainable Development Reserve and then across the Juréia-Itatins Ecological Station. Una Da Aldeia River
The Una da Aldeia River ( pt, Rio Una da Aldeia) is a river in the south of the state of São Paulo, Brazil. It is a tributary of the Ribeira de Iguape River. Course The Una da Aldeia River originates in the municipality of Juquiá, São Paulo, near the BR-116 highway. In its upper course it is named the Itimirim River It flows in a southeast direction, roughly parallel to the SP-222 highway, entering the municipality of Iguape. It is joined by the Espraiado River from the left, which flows from the Juréia-Itatins Ecological Station. The Una da Aldeia River continues southeast and joins the Ribeira de Iguape River not far from that river's mouth on the Atlantic Ocean. Despraiado Sustainable Development Reserve
The Despraiado Sustainable Development Reserve ( pt, Reserva de Desenvolvimento Sustentável do Despraiado) is a sustainable development reserve in the state of São Paulo Brazil. Location The Despraiado Sustainable Development Reserve is divided between the municipalities of Iguape (95.36%), Miracatu (1.01%) and Pedro de Toledo (3.6%) in the state of São Paulo. The reserve extends along the Espraiado River. It is almost completely surrounded by the Juréia-Itatins Ecological Station. History The Juréia-Itatins Mosaic of conservation units was created by law 12.406 of 12 December 2006. Juréia-Itatins Ecological Station
The Juréia-Itatins Ecological Station ( pt, Estação Ecológica da Juréia-Itatins) is an ecological station (ESEC) in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. It fully protects a well-preserved area of Atlantic Forest and associated ecosystems along the coastal plain and mountains of the south of the state, home to endangered species of mammals and birds. There is however, some threat from illegal gathering of heart of palm. Location The Juréia-Itatins Ecological Station (ESEC) is divided between the municipalities of Iguape (86.43%), Itariri (3.62%), Miracatu (5.59%), Peruíbe (4.19%) and Pedro de Toledo (0.17%) in the state of São Paulo. It covers an area of . The ESEC covers part of the coastal plain and mountains between Ilha Comprida to the southwest and Peruíbe to the east.
