Equestrian At The 2015 Pan American Games
Equestrian competitions at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto were held from July 11 to 25 at the Caledon Equestrian Park in Palgrave. The cross-country portion of eventing took place at nearby Will O' Wind Farm (Pan Am Cross-Country Centre), which is located in Mono. Due to naming rights the venue was known as the latter for the duration of the games. The competition was split into three disciplines, dressage, eventing and show jumping. Each discipline awarded a team and individual set of medals. The top team not already qualified in the dressage and eventing team events qualified for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, along with the top two placed teams (not already qualified) in the show jumping competition. In the individual dressage competition, the top nation (not qualified in the team event) in groups IV and V each qualified one quota. Caledon Equestrian Park
The Caledon Equestrian Park is a current equestrian facility in Caledon, Ontario, Canada and was used for the 2015 Pan American Games. The facility's renovations were completed in 2014, one year before the games start. The stadium is planned to have 4,000 seats. The venue was officially named the equestrian venue for the 2015 Pan American Games on May 19, 2012. The renovations brings many changes to the facility including a new stadium, permanent and temporary seating for the games, a new grand prix arena, training facilities, an indoor training facility among others. During the games every portion of the equestrian event besides the cross-country portion of the eventing competition will be held at the venue. Laura Graves (born July 22, 1987) is an American dressage rider. She represented the United States at the 2016 Summer Olympics where she won a bronze medal in the team dressage competition. Steffen Peters
Steffen Peters (born September 18, 1964) is a German-born equestrian who competes for the United States in dressage. He has participated in five Olympic Games, winning a team bronze medal on two occasions (in 1996 and 2016) and a team silver medal once (2020).
