Equestrian At The 2015 Pan American Games – Individual Jumping
The individual jumping competition of the equestrian events at the 2015 Pan American Games took place July 21–25 at the Caledon Equestrian Park. . The top team not already qualified in the dressage team events qualified for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, along with the top two placed teams (not already qualified) in the show jumping competition. In the individual dressage competition, the top nation (not qualified in the team event) in groups IV and V each qualified one quota. The top six athletes (not qualified in the team event) also qualified for the show jumping competition. Caledon Equestrian Park
The Caledon Equestrian Park is a current equestrian facility in Caledon, Ontario, Canada and was used for the 2015 Pan American Games. The facility's renovations were completed in 2014, one year before the games start. The stadium is planned to have 4,000 seats. The venue was officially named the equestrian venue for the 2015 Pan American Games on May 19, 2012. The renovations brings many changes to the facility including a new stadium, permanent and temporary seating for the games, a new grand prix arena, training facilities, an indoor training facility among others. During the games every portion of the equestrian event besides the cross-country portion of the eventing competition will be held at the venue. José Maria Larocca Jr. (born 1 January 1969) is an Argentinian equestrian. His discipline is show jumping, usually individually. Larocca currently ranks two hundred and seventy-sixth on the FEI Rolex Ranking List. Larocca was a relatively late starter to competitive equestrianism, beginning his show-jumping career at age thirty-four. Larocca had ridden horses between the ages of three and twenty but left Argentina for Europe to focus on other forms of work until his love of horses returned him to the sport. Ian Millar, CM (born 6 January 1947) is a Canadian Equestrian Team athlete for show jumping. He is a two-time winner of the Show Jumping World Cup, and an Olympic silver medalist.
