The Empire City is a shopping mall situated at the Empire City development in Damansara, Selangor, Damansara, Selangor, Malaysia. Mall Mammoth Empire is the developer of the Empire City. At its basement two there are 2,000 car parking bays. Malaysia National Ice Skating Stadium The mall building hosts an ice skating rink dubbed as the Empire City Ice Arena or the Malaysia National Ice Skating Stadium. The 1,800 sq m, 600-seater (5,000 standing capacity) facility is Olympic-regulated and has full equipment to host major international tournaments. Ice Business, a Germany-based firm was responsible for the construction of the venue's ice skating rink located on the first sub level of the building it occupies. The ice rink is the first in Malaysia to have a cement flooring and has a capacity to accommodate 500 people. The ice skating rink was planned to be ready by 1 February 2017. Damansara, Selangor
Damansara is a suburb in Petaling Jaya, a mukim in Petaling District, as well as a parliamentary constituency in Selangor, Malaysia. It is named after the Damansara River which flows nearby. It is one of the most densely populated areas in Malaysia. According to the 2000 Census of Malaysia, it was the second-largest district subdivision in Malaysia in terms of population with 453,420 residents. Definition The area defined as ''Damansara'' has changed over time. The ''mukim'' (commune/sub-district) of Damansara, being part of Klang before 1974, covered the state capital Shah Alam, Subang Jaya, Bandar Sunway, Kelana Jaya, Kota Kemuning and parts of Putra Heights. It was named after the Damansara River which flows through the commune. The ''mukim'' of Damansara therefore roughly corresponds to the parliamentary constituencies of Shah Alam, Subang and Kota Raja. International Ice Hockey Federation
The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF; french: Fédération internationale de hockey sur glace; german: Internationale Eishockey-Föderation) is a worldwide governing body for ice hockey. It is based in Zurich, Switzerland, and has 83 member countries. The IIHF maintains the IIHF World Ranking based on international ice hockey tournaments. Rules of play for IIHF events differ from hockey in North America and the rules of the National Hockey League (NHL). Decisions of the IIHF can be appealed through the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland. The IIHF maintains its own hall of fame for international ice hockey. IIHF Challenge Cup Of Asia
The IIHF Asia and Oceania Championship (formally the IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia) are a series of international ice hockey tournaments in the continent of Asia. The purpose of the tournament is to provide competitive opportunities for Asian and Oceania teams that are either in the lower divisions of the IIHF World Championships or did not compete in any IIHF World Championships. The first edition was held in Hong Kong from 24 to 26 April 2008, with the second edition held a year later in the United Arab Emirates. The third edition took place from 29 March to 4 April 2010 in the Republic of China.
