Emelie Petz
Emelie Petz (born 24 March 2003) is a German artistic gymnast and is a two-time junior national champion. Early life Petz was born in Backnang in 2003. She currently trains in Allmersbach im Tal. Gymnastics career Junior 2015–2016 In 2015 Petz competed at her first German Junior National Championships where she placed first amongst the AK12 division. During event finals she placed first on uneven bars and balance beam, second on floor exercise behind Sidney Hayn and fourth on vault. In 2016 she once again competed at the German Junior National Championships where she placed first amongst the other thirteen year olds. Additionally she placed first on vault, second on uneven bars, third on balance beam, and fifth on floor exercise. In December 2016 she competed at the Voronin Cup where she was partnered with senior national team member Carina Kröll. Backnang
Backnang (; swg, Bagene) is a town in Germany in the Bundesland of Baden-Württemberg, roughly northeast of Stuttgart. Its population has increased greatly over the past century, from 7,650 in 1900 to 35,761 in 2005. Backnang was ceded to Württemberg by the Baden ( Zähringer family) in 1325. Backnang has been known as ''Gerberstadt'' due to several tanneries and leather factories, and wool and cloth mills that dominated Backnang's industries. Worms, Germany
Worms () is a city in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, situated on the Upper Rhine about south-southwest of Frankfurt am Main. It had about 82,000 inhabitants . 2019 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 2019 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships was held in Stuttgart, Germany from October 4–13, 2019. The championships took place at the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle, and was the third time the city of Stuttgart hosted the event following the 1989 and 2007 editions, and the fifth time Germany hosted it. As of October 2, 92 federations registered gymnasts for the event with a total of 288 men and 259 women. Sam Mikulak of the United States and Mélanie de Jesus dos Santos of France won the Longines Prize for Elegance. Both mark a first for their respective countries: de Jesus dos Santos is the first gymnast from France to win this prize, and Mikulak is the first male gymnast from the United States to win one. Elisabeth Seitz
Elisabeth Seitz (born 4 November 1993) is a German artistic gymnast. She is the 2022 European champion and the 2018 World bronze medalist on the uneven bars. She is one of the only female gymnasts in history to compete the Def (full-twisting Gienger) release, and her eponymous skill, a full-twisting Maloney. Seitz has also had success in the individual all-around event, where she is the 2011 European silver medalist and an eight-time German national champion (2010–13, 2015, 2017–18, 2021). She is a three-time Olympian, representing Germany at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, where she led her team to a sixth-place finish and placed fourth in the uneven bars final, and the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. In 2022, she was part of the first German team to ever win a European team medal.
