Embassy Of North Korea, Beijing
The Embassy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in Beijing is the diplomatic mission of North Korea to China. It is located in Chaoyang, Beijing. In addition to its embassy in Beijing, North Korea also has consulates in Dandong, Shenyang and Hong Kong. It is one of the largest embassies of North Korea and has dormitories, North Korean grocery shops, a currency exchange, an eyeglasses store, and a fruit and vegetable shop. The current ambassador is Li Ryong -num. History The embassy was established on 6 September 1986. In 2017, '' NK News'' reported that the embassy was building a hotel for visiting North Koreans. The hotel reportedly neared completion in early 2018. Chaoyang District, Beijing
Chaoyang District () is a core district of Beijing. It borders the districts of Shunyi to the northeast, Tongzhou to the east and southeast, Daxing to the south, Fengtai to the southwest, Dongcheng, Xicheng and Haidian to the west, and Changping to the northwest. Chaoyang is home to the majority of Beijing's many foreign embassies, the well-known Sanlitun bar street, as well as Beijing's growing central business district. The Olympic Green, built for the 2008 Summer Olympics, is also in Chaoyang. A diplomatic mission or foreign mission is a group of people from a state or organization present in another state to represent the sending state or organization officially in the receiving or host state. Dandong
Dandong (), formerly known as Andong, is a coastal prefecture-level city in southeastern Liaoning province, in the northeastern region of People's Republic of China. It is the largest Chinese border city, facing Sinuiju, North Korea across the Yalu River, which demarcates the Sino-North Korean border. To the southwest of the city, the river flows into Korea Bay.
