Eloise Blackwell
Eloise Blackwell (born 28 December 1990) is a New Zealand rugby union player. She was a member of New Zealand's squad at the 2014 Rugby World Cup, and was also a part of their champion 2017 side. She also plays for the Blues Women in the Super Rugby Aupiki competition and represents Auckland provincially. Background Blackwell is a teacher by profession and teaches at Epsom Girls' Grammar School. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Physical education from the University of Auckland in 2013. Rugby career 2009–14 Blackwell has played for Auckland since 2009, and made her test debut for the Black Ferns on 26 November 2011 against England at London. The New Zealand women's rugby union team, called the Black Ferns, represents New Zealand in women's international rugby union, which is regarded as the country's national sport. The team has won six out of nine Women's Rugby World Cup tournaments. 2022 Super Rugby Aupiki Season
The 2022 Super Rugby Aupiki season is the inaugural season of Super Rugby Aupiki. The competition commenced on 10 March between Chiefs Manawa and Matatū. On 20 March, Chiefs Manawa were crowned as the inaugural champions of Super Rugby Aupiki after defeating the Blues Women 35–0 in the final round of the competition. Teams Format All four teams will get three regular season matches; one home, one away, and one Super Round fixture. The top two teams will contest the final. The competition was later reformatted to a round robin fixture due to the impact of COVID-19. All the squads were strongly affected with player isolations and COVID-19 cases. Super Rugby is a men's professional rugby union club competition involving teams from Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands. It previously included teams from Argentina, Japan, and South Africa. Building on various Southern Hemisphere competitions dating back to the South Pacific Championship in 1986, with teams from a number of southern nations, the Super Rugby started as the Super 12 in the 1996 season with 12 teams from 3 countries: Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. The Chiefs Manawa (officially called the Waitomo Chiefs Manawa for sponsorship reasons) are a New Zealand women's professional rugby union team based in Hamilton, New Zealand that competes in the Super Rugby Aupiki competition. Chiefs Manawa won the inaugural season of the Super Rugby Aupiki competition. They went undefeated throughout the season and beat the Blues Women 35–0 in the final round to claim the title. The USA Women's National Team XVs is the senior national team for the United States in the 15-a-side version of rugby. The team was officially formed in 1987 and is nicknamed the Eagles. Eden Park
Eden Park is New Zealand's largest sports stadium, with a capacity of 50,000.
