Elliott Spiers
Elliott Vaughan Spiers (12 October 1973 – 15 January 1994) was an English actor. Career Spiers made his acting debut in an episode of the 1986 children's drama series ''Dodger, Bonzo and the Rest''. Next, he appeared in an episode of Jim Henson's television series '' The Storyteller'' in the episode titled "The Heartless Giant" in 1987. He also appeared in two films, '' Paperhouse'' (1988) and '' Taxandria'' (1994) which was his final acting role. ''Taxandria'' was filmed in 1989, but was not released until 1994 due to its lengthy post-production. Death Spiers suffered a negative reaction to an anti-malaria medication that left him gravely ill. He could not do the dubbing for ''Taxandria'' so another actor was used in his place. Dodger, Bonzo And The Rest
''Dodger, Bonzo and the Rest'' was a television drama series which centred on the lives of Michael "Dodger" Dolan and his sister, Carol (Bonzo) who were part of a large foster family in London. It was aired in the early evenings on the ITV programming block, Children's ITV. There were two series of six episodes between 1985 and 1986 plus a Christmas Special which aired on 22 December 1986. The Christmas Special would be the final episode of the series. It starred Lee Ross as Dodger, and Sophy McCallum (later replaced by Jodie Gordon) as his sister Bonzo. Origin The series was written by JJ Williams and originated as an episode of the anthology series ''Dramarama'', which featured a different screenplay each week. Its airing on the Dramarama series gained much popularity and it was commissioned a full series. The theme song was the popular Madness song " Our House". Jim Henson
James Maury Henson (September 24, 1936 – May 16, 1990) was an American puppeteer, animator, cartoonist, actor, inventor, and filmmaker who achieved worldwide notice as the creator of The Muppets and '' Fraggle Rock'' (1983–1987) and director of '' The Dark Crystal'' (1982) and ''Labyrinth'' (1986). He was born in Greenville, Mississippi, and raised in both Leland, Mississippi, and University Park, Maryland. Henson began developing puppets in high school. He created '' Sam and Friends'' (1955–1961), a short-form comedy television program, while he was a freshman at the University of Maryland, College Park in collaboration with Jane Nebel who was a senior. A few years later the two married. He graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in home economics, after which he and Jane produced coffee advertisements and developed experimental films. ''Taxandria'' is a partially animated fantasy film by Raoul Servais, collaborating on a script with Frank Daniel and French writer Alain Robbe-Grillet, and starring, among others, Armin Mueller-Stahl. Post-production is part of the process of filmmaking, video production, audio production, and photography. Post-production includes all stages of production occurring after principal photography or recording individual program segments. Malaria
Malaria is a mosquito-borne infectious disease that affects humans and other animals. Malaria causes symptoms that typically include fever, tiredness, vomiting, and headaches. In severe cases, it can cause jaundice, seizures, coma, or death. Symptoms usually begin ten to fifteen days after being bitten by an infected mosquito. The Royal Free Hospital (also known simply as the Royal Free) is a major teaching hospital in the Hampstead area of the London Borough of Camden.
