Ellerslie (area), Edmonton
Ellerslie is an area in the southeast portion of the City of Edmonton in Alberta, Canada. It was established in 1999 through Edmonton City Council's adoption of the Ellerslie Area Structure Plan, which guides the overall development of predominantly residential neighbourhoods in the area. While City of Edmonton documents note that there are diverse stories related to Scottish settlers introducing the name Ellerslie, it is known that the name was applied to the local school district by 1895, and to the local post office in 1896, when it was still a rural area many kilometres south of the early boundaries of the recently (1892) incorporated Town of Edmonton. Clareview is a residential area in the northeast portion of the city of Edmonton in Alberta, Canada. It was established in 1972 through Edmonton City Council's adoption of the Clareview Outline Plan, which guides the overall development of the area. Clareview station is the northern terminus of the Edmonton Light Rail Transit. Mill Woods is a residential area in the city of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Located in southeast Edmonton, Mill Woods is bounded by Whitemud Drive ( Highway 14) to the north, 91 Street to the west, 34 Street to the east, and Anthony Henday Drive (Highway 216) to the south. Blackburne is a neighbourhood in southwest Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It is an irregularly shaped neighbourhood whose southwest boundary overlooks the Blackmud Creek Ravine. Summerside is a newer neighbourhood in south Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It is located south of Ellerslie Road (9 Avenue SW), west of 66 Street, north of 25 Avenue SW, and east of 91 Street SW and Parsons Road. A portion of the west boundary runs along Parsons Road, until its southern terminus at 91 Street, which then becomes the western boundary. Belvedere is a residential neighbourhood in north east Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It is located on the west side of the Canadian National Railway right of way close to the Belvedere LRT station.
