Elisha Levi
Elisha Levy ( he, אלישע לוי; born on 18 November 1957) is a retired Israeli association footballer and currently the manager of Hapoel Haifa F.C., Hapoel Haifa. Career Player Levy was born in Jerusalem, Israel, to a Jewish family. In the beginning of the 1960s moved with his family to Beit She'an, Israel. At the age of 11 he joined Hapoel Beit She'an F.C., Hapoel Beit She'an children's club. He continued to play for them through the ranks when in 1974 he started playing with the senior squad. Levy played for Beit She'an for four years in Liga Alef, third division, and another four years in Liga Artzit, second division Before he moved to Liga Leumit, first division team Maccabi Haifa F.C., Maccabi Haifa. Beit She'an
Beit She'an ( he, בֵּית שְׁאָן '), also Beth-shean, formerly Beisan ( ar, بيسان ), is a town in the Northern District (Israel), Northern District of Israel. The 2001–02 Israeli Premier League season saw Maccabi Haifa win their second consecutive title. It took place from the first match on 25 August 2001 to the final match on 18 May 2002. Two teams from Liga Leumit were promoted at the end of the previous season: Hapoel Be'er Sheva and Maccabi Kiryat Gat. The two teams relegated were Bnei Yehuda and Tzafririm Holon. The 2000–01 Israeli Premier League season had Maccabi Haifa win the title, while Bnei Yehuda and Tzafririm Holon were relegated. The regular season took place from the first match on 12 August 2000 to the final match on 22 April 2001. The table was then divided into two groups, the upper and lower, which had six teams each. The Betar Movement ( he, תנועת בית"ר), also spelled Beitar (), is a Revisionist Zionist youth movement founded in 1923 in Riga, Latvia, by Vladimir (Ze'ev) Jabotinsky. Chapters sprang up across Europe, even during World War II. After the war and during the settlement of what became Israel, Betar was traditionally linked to the original Herut and then Likud political parties of Jewish pioneers. Jack Mansell
John Mansell (22 August 1927 – 19 March 2016) was a professional football player and coach. He made 274 appearances in the Football League as a defender for Brighton & Hove Albion, Cardiff City and Portsmouth. After retiring as a player, he joined the coaching staff at Sheffield Wednesday. There, in early April 1964, he became interim manager after the sacking of Vic Buckingham. Israel State Cup
The Israel State Cup ( he, גביע המדינה, ''Gvia HaMedina''), is a knockout cup competition in Israeli football, run by the Israel Football Association (IFA). The State Cup was first held in 1928 as the People's Cup. Because it involves clubs of all standards playing against each other, there is the possibility for "minnows" from the lower divisions to become "giant-killers" by eliminating top clubs from the tournament, although lower division teams rarely reach the final. The current holders of the State Cup are the Israeli Premier League club Hapoel Haifa, who beat Beitar Jerusalem in the 2018 final on May 9, 2018.
